At FNG’s request, here is today’s magical GDT. He’s wrong about 11:30pm - I am now in northern India where it is 2:30 in the morning. Don’t ask why I am up…
Alan Horton tweeted that if the Wolves win out they are guaranteed at least the 6th seed. I’ll be off on a safari ride to hopefully catch a tiger or two! So please, help those Wolves win tonight.

You're right Kek. Biggest game of the year. Here is how I'm feeling: I really think the Wolves are going to come out stormin tonight. But I think the Griz will too. I see a close game and we know how those end for us. I wanted to bet on the Wolves, but just couldn't pull the trigger.

As Ja Morant would say guns up boys.
Excited for the game excited to see how the boy react to the shame of that last game.

I'm pretty sure the Wolves are undefeated in games with a GDT originating in India, so there's that.
Yeah, this is for all the marbles. A win could propel us to 4th by the end of the weekend, but a loss dooms us to 8th and a road play in game against a Grizzlies team that would then be 3-0 against us.
The Wolves are 100% healthy (even Shannon finally), but the Griz are missing 2 key rotation players...annoying starter Jaylen Wells who faceguarded Ant both games this season, and Brandon Clarke. We've lost both games to Memphis this season, but both by only 2 points. Now stop me if you've heard this before...in both games, Ant missed last second 3-pointers that would have won the game (and actually 2 missed treys in the last 10 seconds in one of the games). Let's hope Finchie has something different in mind if this one goes down to the wire...he should perhaps research the definition of insanity before tip off.
Vegas really respects the Wolves but not Memphis...there's little reason a Western home team ahead in the standings should be a 2 1/2 point dog. I think the reason is the unsettled nature of the Grizzlies. They've won three in a row, but any team led by Ja Morant should never be trusted. Remarkably talented player, but my sense is he spends more time focusing on what kind of on-court celebrations he's going to perform than preparing for the game.
On the other hand, Memphis does one thing that often kills the Wolves...they play with pace. They are numero uno in the league in possessions per game. We recently saw how poorly the Wolves played against Indiana, another fast pace team. If Ant and Ju get back on defense as poorly as they have much of the season, we'll be tortured on fast breaks. Memphis seldom plays zone defense though (at least Jenkins didn't use it often to my knowledge)...after watching how poorly we execute against a zone, they may want to try one. But a zone defense just isn't something most NBA players are comfortable with if their coaches haven't stressed it. I'm hoping we catch a break and see a lot of man tonight.
What do we want...4th and a home series against a West team to be determined, or 8th and a return trip to Beale St for a play in game? I guess we'll find out soon enough.
