Re: Playoffs discussion
I really hope the Rockets try to win tomorrow
Re: Playoffs discussion
Oh geez I forgot maybe the most important part. The Jazz have a chance to get a Wolves lottery pick if they send the Wolves to a loss and play in scenario.
I might have to rethink tomorrow's game.

Re: Playoffs discussion
The question is if Houston has a strong preference to have Denver in or out of their side of the bracket. If they want them out, the Rockets should lose.
Re: Playoffs discussion
My God, I'm wrong about everything this morning! You guys corrected me that the final standings may have some meaning for Utah and Washington, and I also was ignoring the impact of Utah owning our first round pick.
All that said, I still think Utah is both too bad and too banged up to give us much of a battle tomorrow. I'll probably ve tuned into the Nuggets/Rockets (and the Masters) tomorrow instead of the Wolves game.
Re: Playoffs discussion
I want the Warriors and Lakers to play each other in the first round so they can cannibalize each other.
Re: Playoffs discussion
Ha, that would be absolutely ideal. What on earth would the league office and NBA elite punditry class do!?! Weeping and gnashing of teeth all around for sure.
Re: Playoffs discussion
The good news is that the NBA might not get Warriors Lakers in later rounds so a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

Adam Silver made the call lol
Re: Playoffs discussion
Really disappointing to see the Nuggets as 9 1/2 point favorites in Houston today. Even though only Tate is listed as out for Houston, the line tells us that Vegas thinks Houston is mailing this one in. If so and we beat Utah (we're favored by 23 1/2!), we will finish 5th and play Denver (if the Warriors beat the Clippers) or finish 6th and play the Lakers (if the Clippers win). I think it sucks to have our playoff positioning determined by whether or not the Rockets try today or not, but that's where we are. I'll be cheering for the Warriors because I prefer going on the road to Denver instead of facing the Lakers.
