Or what position, specifically in the first round?
I would like to see Zabel. He projects longer term to be a starter at RT or even LT, but can for the meantime can play LG and potentially good backup at the tackle spots. I like beefing up the line and also having insurance as well. We need to run the ball better, especially inside the 3 yard line. Can't just always pass it in.
Who do you want the Vikes to draft?

I didn't do much research on this draft espcilaly with the team only having a couple picks and shoring up a lot of spots in FA and in the offseason so far.Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 1:26 pm Or what position, specifically in the first round?

When watching the draft I was watching the NFL. Com coverage and they thought teams were trying to trade up to get Jackson so when thr Vikings picked him I had a more favorable opinion than some people that were advocating trading down. That LG spot was not a gappijg g hole but it was one that was a spot that could be upgraded. The Vikings might be a team with some real depth of talent although they don't really have a known quantity as a backup C and I wouldn't mind seeing them sign a vet backup guard. It wouldn't shock me if they end up trading a guy for a late round pick before the season like they did with Lowe a few years ago and they were able to get a pick for Ingram. So the Vikings got a player at the position you wanted but not the player you were hoping for. How do you you feel about Jackson?
I guess I don't need to watch the draft tonight. Lol
The rest of the draft will be interesting. The Vikings will likely be a good landing spot for undrafted guys. There won't be as many draft picks to beat out so they might have a little Advantage there. I like having a bunch of picks I think that's not bad but for the NFL I don't worry as much about not having picks. There is quite. Bit of talent and available FAs to pickup to worry about not having a 5th rounder or whatever. Theo Jackson is a guy they found in FA and is likely their starter at S for cheap. I'm not saying they will for sure hit on other guys but there is plenty of runway to get contributors in various ways.

They are pretty high on the young backup center they currently have. I forget his name at the moment. But I'm OK if they're OK with it.Monster wrote: ↑Fri Apr 25, 2025 1:57 pmI didn't do much research on this draft espcilaly with the team only having a couple picks and shoring up a lot of spots in FA and in the offseason so far.Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 1:26 pm Or what position, specifically in the first round?

I was watching a few random podcasts and it seems most fans are like me, super happy we finally addressed the Oline. It hasn't been good for over a decade. I'd say last year they were pretty good in pass defense, but sucked especially once Darrisaw went down in run blocking. If we can actually be a great run and pass blocking team, with our weapons, look out.

We got him!!! Sam Howell!!!
Honestly I am happy with that move. He wasn't terrible overall in Washington and has physical traits. He has some legit experience and is 24.his contract this year is 1.1 million and if he leaves as a FA he might help with the comp pick formula. I like getting a young guy with some experience and talent over some old guy that might have lost it.
