I have to give Golden State some flowers for assembling a supporting cast playoff rotation that includes recent non-lottery draft picks of Podziemski, Moody, and Post. Granted, they don't go anywhere without Curry, Butler, and Green, but it seems like they are having far less depth issues than the Lakers and these young dudes are holding up.

I hope Finch throws Shannon in the mix again tonight. His physicality and pace is a great way for Finch to just keep sending waves at the Lakers.

I think the question for Houston is whether they try to stick with what they have and hope Green and/or Sengun can eventually be a #1 type option or do they need to make a trade for someone like Durant or Giannis. Amen would likely be the #1 player on Phoenix or Milwaukee's list of assets they want in return.

Interesting how the Golden State bench was able to force Houston to keep their starters in until nearly the end. Smart move by Kerr to pull his guys early and inject a bunch of fresh energy into the game. Their starters will be rested and ready for Game 6 while Houston had to work their tails off to close this one out. I wonder if Finch would do the same thing? Hopefully we don't have to find out!

There Bucks are clearly an aging team on an irreversible downward trajectory. They’ll need to cash in on Giannis while he’s still relatively young and healthy to start a rebuild process.

2. If the Knicks lose their series against the Pistons, that will certainly be the end of Thibs’ run in New York. Detroit is actually a really good team, but that won’t matter. This is a series the Knicks need to win and the outcry in NY after losing the series will be loud and nasty.

3. There’s no shame in Orlando getting knocked off in 5 games by the Celtics. But when you couple the series loss with Orlando’s fade in the second half of the season you have to wonder whether they’ll try to make some major trades this offseason to land another star to go with Bancho.

It is definitely sad. I’ve always liked the Bucks and I’m a huge Giannis fan. It’s great that they at least won one title with him but unfortunately the end has arrived. Houston certainly seems like an obvious trading partner. I haven’t looked but I suspect there are some other good potential trading partners. How about the Sixers? If they end up with the top pick this year, perhaps they’d prefer Giannis over Cooper to joint Maxey, McCain and Paul George.

Luka and Lebron are not going to improve defensively for next year. They don't have a number one pick. They are up against the cap. How in the world are they going to improve? I'm sure they will find a big man but will that be enough?
