Alright, let's put a bow on this:
First, CONGRATS to 60WinTim for picking the Wolves in 5. His bullish bet on the Wolves finally paid off!
Second, we can lay to rest any thought that this series was rigged by the NBA. There were three close games in a row and the Wolves won all three of them. Those would have been perfect opportunities for the League to take control.
Yes, Luka and LeBron got plenty of soft calls and they missed some fouls on Ant. But then you have a guy like Austin Reaves who barely shot more free throws over the entire series than he does in a typical regular season game and was called for multiple offensive fouls! In the end, the Wolves shot 122 Free Throws and the Lakers shot 106. Interestingly, that FT differential in our favor was pretty important, as the Lakers made 8 more 3Pters than we did.
And last, what amazing vindication for Rudy and Randle - two players that have received a lot of shit from NBA pundits and fans (including us!) - but they had the last laugh as far as this series is concerned.
Lakers heavy betting favorites over Wolves

My counter-theory is true that actually the league wants to promote Ant as next, since they know they have a meal ticket with Luka in LA. That isn't going anywhere and they need to make sure Ant is there to be a natural rival. Maybe???
Nah. . .
