Denver looks really sharp. I know we have dominated the matchup of late, but they seem to be firing on all cylinders and have a healthy Aaron Gordon (whom I believe missed the last couple regular season games against us?). I'm really glad we are drawing Houston or Golden State versus Denver for the conference semis.

Not to mention a Nugget/Thunder series could be very interesting. I think this is the best Murray has looked in a long time.

Looking at box scores from that series the games MPJ scored like over 10 points Denver won. I'm kinda glad we aren't playing the clippers.

I just watched the 12 minute highlights FWIW, but the Nuggets looked like they absolutely turned the dial to 11 for that game. Jesus Christ. Braun and Westbrook are both flawed players, but man, they can really ratchet up the energy on the floor. I want our guys to play like that.

DDV definitely plays like that a lot and NAW plays plenty intense. Westbrook does do some dumb shit but what he brings for a vet Min salary player is pretty good.

I felt bad for an NBA player tonight. Now granted, he seems like a good athlete with skills, so I think much of his shortcomings are self-inflicted... but Jonathon Kuminga was an embarrassment on the court for GSW in Game 7.

He messed up either offensively or defensively seemingly every trip down the court. A bad shot. A poor rotation. Poor rebounding position that leads to a Houston three. Et al.

He played 7 minutes and went 0 - 4 with a TO. After averaging 15+ ppg in each of the past two regular seasons, he played only 50 minutes and missed 16 of 23 shots in the Houston series.

He turned down a $150M contract from Golden State because he wanted $175M. How much money is this guy losing right now?

A lot. Some bad team will sign him and give him a shot, but yeesh. Rhymes with Nerlens Noel.

All the prohibitive series favorites, including the 3 teams who won 40 games before losing 20, dropped game 1 at home.

So, this is either a BAD omen for the Wolves... Or, what are the chances of all 4 favorites losing?!?

I think this has me feeling even better about tomorrow night's game. This trend ought to have the Wolves attention!

It behooves the Wolves to attempt to repeat the result of Game 1 against the Lakers. Can't let the Warriors hang around.
