Re: Houston @ Golden State Game Thread
Naz is gonna have to be THE X factor coming up since he does some of his best work against them
Re: Houston @ Golden State Game Thread
I couldn't agree more, Kiwi...million dollar talent and 10 cent head.
Re: Houston @ Golden State Game Thread
Yeah, I think he would have been bullied and pushed around against Houston. Can you imagine him trying to battle Sengun, Adams, Thompson, and Eason? Those guys would just destroy him. But he could present a real problem for Golden State.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 10:05 pm Naz is gonna have to be THE X factor coming up since he does some of his best work against them

I assume I know what play you are talking about. I was watching the game across two rooms and saw those two flying and I busted out laughing. So glad Draymond got called for something there so ridiculous.

I frankly would have been fine with Houston beating Golden State just to see two of the NBA darlings - Lakers and Warriors - ousted in the first round. But I agree it will be even sweeter if we end up being the ones that end their season. We'll see though...I'm not predicting anything this time!
Re: Houston @ Golden State Game Thread
Well all that talk I said about Buddy and Q said he would go off against us...well he went off in this game and was a huge reason they won this game. Dude had like 16 early in the 2nd quarter.
Bring on GS. It will be interesting how they try to match up with the Wolves. I'd say the Warriors have at least a couple guys that would be able to guard Randle but what do they do against Gobert? Can Jimmy guard Randle? Where can the Wolves exploit GS with their offense?

We’ll have lots of discussion about this tomorrow, but I expect to see a lot of zone from them.Monster wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 10:24 pm Well all that talk I said about Buddy and Q said he would go off against us...well he went off in this game and was a huge reason they won this game. I don't remember seeing a team play as much zone as GSW did in Game 7.
Re: Houston @ Golden State Game Thread
Yes they did...and quite effectively. Kerr is a smarter coach than JJ and he obviously has seen how the Wolves have struggled against effective zone defenses, so I would be surprised if we don't see a lot of zone all series. Finchy seems to like Randle in the central paint role that SloMo played so effectively last season, so that might make him the most important offensive player we have in this series. Ant (or whoever brings the ball up) will need to get the ball to Ju quickly in the paint, and Ju will have to make the correct decision...find the most open man on the perimeter or Rudy in the dunker spot. We haven't looked good against zones, so this one scares me.AbeVigodaLive wrote: ↑Mon May 05, 2025 11:34 amFNG wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 10:28 pmWe’ll have lots of discussion about this tomorrow, but I expect to see a lot of zone from them.Monster wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 10:24 pm Well all that talk I said about Buddy and Q said he would go off against us...well he went off in this game and was a huge reason they won this game.
