Mavericks Land Flagg

Post by 60WinTim »

Okay, Cool is absolutely right -- the NBA rigs a bunch of stuff. Nico was likely guaranteed the #1 pick if he traded Luka to the Lakers...

I am not a conspiracy guy but....

There have to be a bunch of trades of picks and players this year. Brooklyn has 4 first round picks. San Antonio has 2, pick 2 and 14. Does a team want to trade for Giannis?

Should be a fun off season, but hopefully we will still be playing when the draft actually happens!

Also the spurs now have the assets for Giannis. This might be the most open the wolves champion window might be

Makes sense now why there wasn't much of a bidding war for Luka.

Of course I would have rather seen him go to an East team, but I'm kind of relieved he didn't go to the Spurs.

That's okay, they will probably get Giannis

It does seem rather convenient. I do see the Mavs side a little. Luka IS shit on defense and he was due 350 million or something absurd. So maybe they did cut a deal. Low NBA ratings, pair up Luka and LeBron. Give the Mavs the 1st pick. I'd say probable.

It's rough that 3 teams right outside the play in got the top 3 picks. Bummer for the talent starved teams.
