Minnesota Vibes - Wolves at Warriors Game 4 GDT

Post by 60WinTim »

For those that missed it, I take full credit for the 4th quarter OKC vibes I sent from my overnight RV park. Well, I have finally arrived back in Minnesota in time for Game 4. So this time, I will send the vibes before the games starts, rather than waiting for the 4th quarter.

My high level take on the series is the Wolves were unprepared for the Warriors' excellent defense in the first game. Curry's early scoring, Hield's late scoring, a solid Butler game, and Draymond's other-worldly 3-point shooting caught the Wolves by surprise. The Wolves had to win Game 2, and without Curry, Kerr decided to through shit on the wall to see what might stick. Kerr used the sticky stuff in Game 3 and it very nearly worked, but another solid game from Randle and a 2nd half ANT explosion kept the Warriors at bay. While Kerr will have adjustments tonight, nothing should really catch the Wolves by surprise. Hopefully they play solid right from the start and take care of business. It sure would be nice if Donte would join the party!

After decades of hoping on ping pong balls, this is our new lottery. But the league can't hide the results behind closed doors. Sorry NBA, your Warriors are being put to bed.

I still think the Dubs took their best shot in game 3. I'm thinking the Wolves win more comfortably tonight.

Donte, NAW, and Conley all shooting 32% or less from the field and 30% or less on 3's through eight playoff games. I mean, how is that even possible!? Hard to believe we have only lost two games with such putrid shooting/scoring contributions from three out of our four guards. And it's not like Ant has been on fire either. Thank God for Randle, Jaden, and Naz. Our offense would be really in the tank without those three.

My gut agrees with you, but my brain keeps going back to the letdowns, complacency, and mental errors that this team is prone to. We have largely overcome those demons thus far, but I don't think they are completely exorcised.

I lean toward Cool's view...I can't see the Warriors getting to 100, but the Wolves can get there despite GS's great defense. I also think the Warriors' relentless defense will keep us out of any letdowns. I think we win this one tonight with a bounce back game by Donte and NAW.

So much talk on NBA Radio and KFAN tonight about how the refs are totally different in these playoffs than they were during the regular season. I agree that playoff reffing is always different...much more physicality. But I don't think it is so dramatic that it warranted SO much airtime today. A few talked though about how letting the players bang a little really gives Ju an advantage. I agree...he's been terrific in the postseason.

That was weak. This is my biggest ref complaint. Players get away with murder but ticky tack gets the whistle.

Nice to see Ant make a catch and shoot 3...he needs more of that. Keep moving, and Mike and Ju will find you.
