Are people really debating Hartenstein vs. Rudy now? I'd give up more in the trade to secure Rudy for the past few years + future years if these are the options.

I don’t think it’s a debate between the two. Rudy is clearly better. Hartenstein’s name came up as ONE potential piece the Wolves might have been able to add, with other pieces, to their 46-win roster several years ago, without giving up all the assets used to acquire Rudy. There was certainly another path to building around the core after that successful season. No telling how successful it would have been but the alternative path was likely not one single player over Rudy.

Here is a breakdown of the key deadlines and players with options etc. The first day after the finals teams can start negotiating with their own FAs.

One of the more intriguing pieces of intel to come out of yesterday’s piece that teams around the league at monitoring:

Nickeil Alexander-Walker’s FA and where he ends up. One interesting team mentioned: The Atlanta Hawks.

Atlanta owns a $25.2M TPE they want to utilize.

It would be nice to get Milwaukee's 2027 pick swap with the Pels which Atlanta owns. It would be less favorable of Milwaukee and New Orleans unless they are both top 4. Both teams could very well be lottery in 2 years. I wonder if Nickeil is worth that to the Hawks.

I'd honestly be happy to get anything for him even if it was a couple of 2nd rounders. Just wait for the 2nd round pick swap we have from GS from the Anderson sign and trade to hit in a few years... 😅 In all seriousness it seems like NAW would have more value around the league than Anderson did last year but maybe that's my wishful thinking.

Jon K confirmed Naz will be opting out, and that Randle is still up in the air

I'm starting to think that Randle will sign an extension for something less than his player option of 31 mil. The Wolves will then use the remaining space below the 2nd apron to add a vet PG in free agency. Offseason done.

Ugh. Now that Reid is locked in, we really don't need Randle IMO.
