This kid looks like he can move and his hands already look better than Rudy. Doubt he can do much else.

I'm not sure he's going to be ready to help us next year. He's only played 3 years. Very raw! But he's got a great mentor and fellow frenchman in Rudy, so hopefully it pays off.

Opposite of Rudy in terms of how he moves. Very agile, played soccer growing up, has opposable thumbs, etc.
So always a good hands night then? Lol
Rudy also played soccer....but this guy can catch the ball. Rim protecting dunker. Needs weights, needs SOME shot (which already looks better than Rudy's)

I'm listening to Sam Vecenie, he loves it said the obvious pick. Called him incredible athlete, great hands catches everything, moves like a wing, perfect player to learn from Rudy. Just very raw.

Just like Dilly, Beringer may need a bridge option before he's ready to take on a major role. I like Capela to fill that gap.

We need a tall athlete that can switch, close out, bother shots, run, and finish at the rim. Holmgren and Wemby aren't going anywhere soon...He needs some seasoning though.

Beringer. What I love about him:

1. Has terrific length with a 9’3 standing reach and 7’4.5 wingspan.
2. Still only 18 years old and has played basketball for only 4 years - translation: huge upside
3. Very good athlete
4. Watches NBA basketball every morning - obviously loves and is devoted to the NBA game.
5. Seems to play with a lot of competitive fire and energy.
6. Can be mentored by the best French big man in the NBA

This was a very good pick. He didn’t compile impressive stats and the fact he’s only played basketball 4 years could be viewed as as a negative rather than a positive. But this is where I trust TC. He has a terrific acumen for identifying young talent. In this instance I think it’s obvious TC had his eye on Beringer all along, which is why he didn’t trade up for Sorber and waited until #17 without trading down. So this is a pick we should be excited about.
