Free agent forward Joe Ingles intends to sign a one-year, $3.6 million deal to return to the Minnesota Timberwolves, sources tell ESPN. Wolves officials negotiated the deal with Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports to bring Ingles back for his 12th NBA season.

IIRC, if this is his vet min, then it doesn't count as $3.6 towards the cap. It counts for less.
So our roster is at 13 right now.
Gobert/Beringer
Randle/Reid /Miller
McDaniels /Shannon/Ingles
Edwards /DiVincenzo /Clark
Conley/Dillingham

May be Zikarsky's baby sitter then? Although Jingles feels like the adult that will hand out beers and smokes at his kid's graduation party.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 30, 2025 11:50 am IIRC, if this is his vet min, then it doesn't count as $3.6 towards the cap. It counts for less.

I’m also shocked and disappointed. He brings absolutely nothing of value to the team. This strikes me as a really dumb waste of a roster spot and precious cap space under the 2nd apron. We can still sign two more vet minimum players to fill out the 14th and 15th roster spots. Or we can use the full $5.7 taxpayer MLE to sign a backup PG or backup C and keep the roster and leave the 15th roster spot open.kekgeek wrote: ↑Mon Jun 30, 2025 11:43 am Free agent forward Joe Ingles intends to sign a one-year, $3.6 million deal to return to the Minnesota Timberwolves, sources tell ESPN. I’m shocked, but he is an elite locker room guy, maybe the best in the league. Also a guy who is ok with not playing. I think that is the biggest issue the wolves will have in free agency there is not a role for basically any FA to get minutes where we wouldn’t get upset.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 30, 2025 12:02 pmI’m also shocked and disappointed. We've always said to expect the unexpected with Connelly. Militant continuity wasn't what I expected!
Re: Joe ingles back!
This is one of the outcomes I put money on!!! Taco bell burritos for everyone!!!
Yeah I didn't see that coming. I would have thought they would go a different direction.

Sounds like they're going into next season with 14 and if someone from a two way plays themselves into a deal then that's the route they'll take.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 30, 2025 12:02 pmI’m also shocked and disappointed. Re: Joe ingles back!
Could Ingles be included in a trade to make salaries work?
