With Tatum out, Boston can probably re-tool a bit and try out guys for their main supporting cast in 2026-27 when they may look to make another run.

Don't be surprised if Garza thrives there. Minott....not so sure about.

This is how a team like us can go backwards without actually going backwards in terms of talent. So when folks here (just a couple, not you) lament about how we were barely better after the Rudy and KAT trade because, after all, we won only three more games than the 46 we won a few years ago, they need to take into account that may be the equivalent of that team wouldn't even make the playoffs this year!

Good for Minott. One of the things that's good about Garza and Minott getting NBA deals is that means someone else isn't getting signed. Sometimes when you waive these kinds of players they get picked up as basically tryout players maybe on a partially guaranteed deal.

One might ask why didn't we trade those guys to Boston for something or anything. Well Boston signed both of them for cheap 2 year deals which they may have preferred over their 1 year deals. It may have been an issue making a trade work sending out salary or whatever. I thought MAYBE some team might want to trade for Minott but I didn't think Garza would return anything. I wish them both well in Boston it's a good landing spot for both guys.

I was willing to give Beasley some benefit of the doubt on the gambling thing but this isn't a good look. He has cost himself a lot of money after the Pistons looked to have moved on and did a sign and trade to acquire Duncan Robinson.
