Really appreciated everything that guy brought to the table. I'm interested in what Clark and TSJ might become, but man, I loved NAW's defense and I wish him the best.
Yup, I'm sure he'll always get greeted warmly when he comes play in Target Center. Nothing not to like about the man.

Clark will be the better defender (probably already is) and Shannon will be a better offensive player. The difference is that both of those guys aren't as positionally versatile as NAW even though they may ultimately be more effective at their respective strengths. It's why NAW is being replaced by the combination of Shannon, Clark, and Dilly.
I'll add my voice to the chorus. Yes, NAW seems like a terrific person, and was a valuable contributor at both ends of the court. I questioned his shot mechanics when he first came here and didn't think he was going to be a reliable 3-point shooter, but I was wrong. I'm going to miss him a lot, but I'm happy for him that he got a nice payday. It's seemed inevitable for a while that we were not going to be able to keep him, so my grieving is mostly over. I'll be cheering for him in Atlanta, and also cheering for Shannon and/or Clark to be worthy replacements.

I thought you were implying we got another 2nd rounder with the NAW trade. But you're not. The NAW trade is independent of the Durant trade, where we received the 2027 Cleveland 2nd rounder. Our draft night maneuvers on day two is where we received two 2nd rounders. I would assume the move down from 36 to 45 wound up being not only cash, but a 2nd rounder as well. I feel better about that!

[Edit: Wait, we already knew we were getting two second rounders going from 31 to 36. I think JonnyK got some wires crossed... ]

Maybe one of those 2nds is better than the one we originally got or something...or everyone that's reported this missed something.

Looks like the NAW sign and trade didn't make it into this deal so nothing new in terms of compensation for any of the Wolves deals.
