Interesting but not too surprising. Pablo seems like he would be a good coach to have on your staff it seems like he just does his thing with no fanfare etc. I'd like him to stay but it seems like it would not be hard to add another good coach to the wolves staff if he leaves. It seems like the Wolves have done a good job of adding and developing coaches to their staff.

Speaking of guys that left the organization somehow I missed that Jon Wallace left to go back to the Nuggets to be one of the top guys in their front office. The Nuggets are banking on guys both as coaches and in the front office that don't exactly have much experience being the top decision makers. I wonder how that will work out.
I really hope this doesn't happen. For one thing, Pablo is Rob's main contact on the coaching staff. He has a seat next to Finchy on the bench and appears to be his second most important coach behind Micah. And he's been with the Wolves for several years. So I would say he would only leave if promised to be second in command (unlikely) or for much more money...and with the cost of living in NYC, it would have to be a lot more money.

Thanks for that info FNG.

I could have seen the Knicks maybe giving Pablo a higher ranking title but unless there was some pull to NY (maybe he loves Towns! 😀) I didn't see why he would go there. It turns out he turned the Knicks down and didn't even interview. He was there for like 2.5 years as a player but that's not like some lengthy amount of time. He has been with the Wolves way longer. The report was he stayed because of family considerations.

I'm glad Pablo decided to stick around and collect his Ring next season. He can look for opportunities after that...

Great news! I was at Summer League the year Pablo was our head coach there. Loved his energy and you could see the players really responded to him. And it’s good to have former NBA players on your coaching staff.
