Rudy the Red Panda is a Grok companion for kids. But I just noticed today they have a "Good Rudy" and a "Bad Rudy" (Bad Rudy is 18+).

Which Rudy are we going to get? :D

Watching this workout confirms how good NBA players are in relation to most guys that play ball. If you played Rudy down a few levels of competition he would be doing some stuff he has no ability to do in the NBA. He would be way more skilled than expected.

I remember watching the NBA playoffs in the early 2000's and a couple guys in the dorm were dogging on some guy that was playing a few MI utes in the playoffs and it didn't exactly go well. They were like "I could beat that guy one on one!" and they were dead serious. They were like 6'3' and weren't even good enough to play on the college basket all team of less than 1,000 students. The guy they were planning to beat was either 7' or 6'11" and while maybe not the most atheltic NBA player he was easily more athletic than one of those guys. Even the guys watching that weren't even sports fans thought they were being ridiculous.

Back to Rudy...i don't expect any real improvement from him on offense. The best I could reasonably hope for was maybe some better touch around the rim or if he has to toss up something just away from the rim and yet still in the paint he might do better. I Don't expect to see many opportunities for him in that regard so even if he got better at the 2nd one it's not gonna matter much. If he could have a little softer or stronger hands on catches that would be nice. He does OK once he has the ball but securing it can be a thing. He doesn't have awesome touch (all things considered) once he has it though so yeah. Still he is working on something and his offense is the hole in his game.
