I agree with you Q. I think the big lineup with Ant, Shannon, Jaden, Randle or Naz, Gobert will get some run at the start of the season. That would be a fun one if they actually got out on the break.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 6:37 pmYou were right all along re: Bones....I guess he was sort of "Plan D" as far as free agent PGs go, as no one else was willing to sign here....60WinTim wrote: ↑Wed Aug 20, 2025 2:44 pm Jonny K said in his podcast today that it will be Bones, although it may not be inked for awhile. And given everything we've seen on Johnny Juzang, it sure seems like he has the inside track on the final roster spot in training camp. It'll be interesting to see if any of the new guys wind up with a non-guaranteed or partially guaranteed contract.
But there we have it. Our 2025-26 roster:
Conley-Dillingham-Hyland-Newton(2W)
ANT-DDV-Clark
Jaden-Shannon-Ingles-Juzang
Randle-NAZ-Miller-Freeman(2W)
Rudy-Beringer-Rocco(2W)
Jon also mentioned that many players have been in town this summer working out, including ANT. Apparently, they've been have Beringer guard ANT in some drills. That guy might see some rotational minutes this season!
I think Finch is going to have a tough time limiting Shannon to 8th man minutes. I really have high hopes for him and he could give Finch (and Connelly for that matter) some interesting options in terms of lineup combinations.
Remaining Two Roster Spots

Re: Remaining Two Roster Spots
Yeah, I really like the idea of maximizing an Ant/Shannon/Jaden trio (even though Shannon is technically Jaden's backup) with any combination of two other guys out there.DNatagal wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 8:41 amI agree with you Q. If everything pans out with Connelly's last two drafts, I'm hopeful that in another year or two we have a starting lineup of Beringer, Jaden, Shannon, Ant, and Dillingham. That would be a full pivot to Ant 2.0, but it's still TBD if Dilly and Beringer grow into starting-caliber NBA players.
Re: Remaining Two Roster Spots
Amir Coffey finally gets a landing spots signing with the Bucks. I'd assume it'd a vet min deal and Coffey isn't some amazing player he is a legit NBA player capable of playing solid rotation minutes. Seems like a good get for the Bucks.
Re: Remaining Two Roster Spots
I listened to Jon K on the podcast and when explaining how the Wolves arrived at Bones he mentioned the finacials and said how he thinks it's possible to likely Bones contract will have partial guarantees. So if you aren't thrilled with Bones and think they could do better...well even if they sign him they could still look for another option.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 10:50 amYeah, I really like the idea of maximizing an Ant/Shannon/Jaden trio (even though Shannon is technically Jaden's backup) with any combination of two other guys out there.DNatagal wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 8:41 amI agree with you Q. He also said that Connelly espcially has a certain belief in Bones as a player and thinks he can be a worthwhile NBA player. Like I laid out earlier Bones has some worthwhile things on his resume as an NBA player. It's also clear they wanted someone more established or Bones would have been signed weeks or months ago. I also wonder if they have some sort of low level trade as a possibility out there that could bring in a guard or some other player. I doubt it but with Connelly you never know.
Re: Remaining Two Roster Spots
Malik Beasley has been cleared and is available to sign. Interestingly, if you go to hoopshype article, click on his name, his player page shows a Wolves banner. Oversight? Intel? Serendipity? Destiny?
