Big night! This is the opportunity for the Wolves to influence WildWolf's win prediction. A good showing and WW might be in the 50s. A poor showing and WW is likely in the 40s. The game is on NBA-TV.
I lost money on the last game when I bet on Shannon taking Jaden's place, but Finch foolishly went with NAZ. I have another bet I can lose money on: Conley was dinged up against the Pacers, so my money is on Conley getting a rest day and Donte getting the start.
Looking forward to watching Clark. Can he continue his march towards forcing Finch to include him in the regular rotation? And of course, the Dilly vs Bones battle is something we will all be keeping an eye on. Rob cannot play much worse than he did against the Pacers!
Rocco only play 3 minutes last game. I think he might have been dinged up during those 3 minutes, which would be why he did not play more. That's just my speculation seeing him with an ice bag in his hand after his brief stint. I could see Rocco and Joan becoming fan favorites if they see any sort of playing time this season.
Wolves at Knicks Preseason GDT
Re: Wolves at Knicks Preseason GDT
I only see Clark, Ingles and Jaden as game day decisions. They may rest Clark with his sprained neck, and Jaden was out last game with personal issues.
I think we all want to see a better game from Ant. And I agree that the Rob/Bones battle for backup PG will be interesting. It's fun to watch our rookie 7 footers. They are both very raw, but it would be nice if one of them emerges as someone who can help defensively when Rudy isn't on the floor.
The Knicks are 2-0 and are played their starters close to 20 minutes in those games, so this will be a good test.

On Clark, if you didn't see the collision with Delon Wright, it was really bad. Clark's head connected with Wright's jaw/head and it knocked Wright out. He fell to the floor completely limp with the side of his forehead violently bouncing off the floor. You could see blood in his mouth from the collision with Clark, and blood on the side of his forehead from the collision with the floor. I don't see how that was not a concussion.
The Pacers waived Wright this morning and signed Cam Payne.

Re: Wolves at Knicks Preseason GDT
I'll be on my way there in a bit.
Tickets were super expensive a week ago. Managed to snatch one up for around $80 yesterday. By comparison, a ticket for $90 gets me 4 rows away from the Wolves' bench at Barclays for a real game against the Nets. $210 for the same seat I have now when we face the Knicks in November.
It's the first home game for the Knicks at MSG this year of any kind (the public practice they have hasn't happened yet) and as we saw last year, even the preseason matchups vs. the Knicks can get spicy.
Should be fun. Now that the Yankees are out of the playoffs, expect a higher level of enthusiasm for this one.

On other notes not related to the game tonight, the Pacers' TJ McConnell is out for at least a month with a hamstring injury, which we saw happen in the preseason game against the Wolves. The Wolves host the Pacers in their season opener.
And in another break for the Wolves, LeBron James has been ruled out for the next 3 to 4 weeks. The Wolves play the Lakers in the 2nd and 5th games of the season.
Of course, on the downside, Jingles is out for a week with a groin strain. It must be pretty mild -- I guess he got too much work in the preseason opener!

Joe ingles out with a strained groin. I don’t think it’s been posted but Leonard Miller still out with a finger laceration
Re: Wolves at Knicks Preseason GDT
That injury news is quite positive for the Wolves and could lead to a fast start to the season. We open in Portland, and they are missing their top scorer from last year and Henderson is hurt. Indy will be missing Haliburton and McConnell. And the Lakers without Lebron are very beatable.60WinTim wrote: ↑Thu Oct 09, 2025 4:38 pm On other notes not related to the game tonight, the Pacers' TJ McConnell is out for at least a month with a hamstring injury, which we saw happen in the preseason game against the Wolves. I nailed the "Conley out" bit. Clark is out as well. Rocco had to have his nose "reset", but he is available and will be wearing a mask. Starting lineup:
Donte
ANT
Jaden
Randle
Rudy
I hope we look good!

I guess I won't know how we look tonight. The game is on NBATV, but it's blacked out locally.
