Wolves at Bulls Preseason GDT

Post by 60WinTim »

This is the first game of a back-to-back, which means Mike and others will likely not play tomorrow night. So this would seem to be the "final tune-up" before the season opener in Portland.

The young guns showed the vets what ball-movement and assists should look like in the last game. The last time the starters played they amassed a whopping 8 assists, led by ANT with 17 shots and 0 assists. That needs to look different tonight.

Shannon clearly replaces NAW in Finch's 8-man rotation. But Finch has promised to expand his rotation to include a 9th or 10th guy from a small pool of players. Logically, that pool is Rob, Jaylen and Joan. We'll see what that looks like tonight, at least in the 1st half.

That ESPN ranking with the Wolves at #8 is a bit of an outlier. Most rankings I've seen have the Wolves at #3 or #4 in the West. I sure hope they look like it tonight...

No NAZ tonight -- resting from bumps and bruises...

Does Finch bump Jaden/Shannon down in the rotation to insert Clark? Does Lenny or Joan see some minutes in NAZ's stead?

And can Rob carry over his "best game as a Wolf" performance into this game?

As expected, Conley is in the starting lineup. Sure would be nice if he took a shot this preseason... ;)

As with last year, Mike in the starting lineup just doesn’t do it for me. Your lineup has one guy who can’t shoot and another who won’t shoot.

and yet that lineup was 33-19 last season, and is up 18-8 now (I guess 13-8 before the first sub).

Love the D to open this game.

Is that 8 points Rudy has left on the floor thus far? He’s been set up by ANT beautifully twice, to no avail. Come on, Rudy!

Rudy looks bad. But he’s just so hard to replace. If only we could trade him for a guy like Walker Kessler. TC, you freaking idiot
