Yep, should have let him walk
Wolves at Lakers GDT
Re: Wolves at Lakers GDT
I think there was much more support on this board for signing Naz at 25 per than Ju at 33 per. But the Randle signing is starting to look like a steal, while the Naz deal looks like a disaster. Analysts that follow the Wolves were raving about Ju in practices and predicting an all-star type year from him. He was our best player in preseason, and second only to Ant in our first 2 games. 22.5/8/5.5 are all-star type stats. I don't think Ju will keep putting up lofty numbers like this for the season, but nobody can argue his play hasn't been exceptional. He even looks more focused on defense.
I don't know what is up with Naz...he looks like a completely different guy on offense out there (while unfortunately still looking awful on defense)...5.5 PPG on 30% shooting (20% on threes). I still believe in Naz as an offensive weapon and think he will pick up his game, but he's not playable if he's not scoring efficiently. $25 million...smh.

I wonder if his sister being murdered a month ago might be what’s different with NAZ? Cut the kid some fucking slack guys.

Yes I do think we should be sympathetic to Naz. But he can't play like this, if he needs time away from the team to get his head right give him time away from the team. When he's on the court, it can't look like this.BeenLurkin wrote: ↑Sat Oct 25, 2025 3:23 pm I wonder if his sister being murdered a month ago might be what’s different with NAZ? Totally agree with rap here. I think everyone here is sympathetic toward a good guy like Naz who lost a sibling. But I really question whether that is the reason for his early season ineptitude. There's just something off with his footwork and shooting (actually his 3-point form looks the same...they're just not going in. His 2-point shots and drives however have been almost Rudyesque). But if the reason for his struggles is more mental, then I agree that he needs to take a leave of absence.rapsuperstar31 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 25, 2025 3:36 pmYes I do think we should be sympathetic to Naz. NAZ will be okay, he hasn't forgotten how to score all of a sudden.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that I was thinking his Granny died, thats far worse because she would be obviously younger and unexpected.BeenLurkin wrote: ↑Sat Oct 25, 2025 3:23 pm I wonder if his sister being murdered a month ago might be what’s different with NAZ? Cut the kid some fucking slack guys.

Interesting that Luka is out tonight citing a sprained finger and leg contusion. This isn't your father's NBA anymore.
