Timberwolves lose 3 of 4... three of the games vs. severely depleted teams. They look terrible. Playing way beneath expectations. Three of the games were at home.
The Wild lost 4 straight games... including 3 in a row at home. Even worse, the team's gamble to "overpay" Krizprizillofofillazzzill is looking laughably bad right now... after EVERY other star signed after him took significantly less money. The Wild gambled. And lost. They're now 3 - 8 and playing way beneath expectations.
MN Gophers football was down 31 - 0 to one of its biggest rivals in the 1st half.
The Vikings were destroyed nearly as bad as the Gophers and their season looks to be over already. Playing way beneath expectations.
---- That's one win (barely, against an Indiana team missing FIVE rotation players) in 10 games. And most of the games were blowouts or barely contested.
Rough week for Minnesota sports fans. Heck, it's going on a rough half-century at this point.
Is this week done yet?
Re: Is this week done yet?
Hey gophers men’s basketball starts Monday with a new coach. In their scrimmages their ball movement has been amazing.
Gophers woman start Tuesday. They have big expectations and could be a sweet 16 team but they did lose their 3 year starting PF to the portal last week (rumors were because she was going to lose her starting job)

No where to go but up, right?!?
I'm looking forward to seeing our ANT-less team playing some weaker teams. And I am looking forward to finally seeing some JJ McCarthy action.

Terrible sports teams, worse politics, and a disgusting climate. I happen to live in the 2nd worst state, so I feel you. But I truly wish Minnesota would be absorbed by Canada. It would be a seamless transition, Minnesota Manitoba, Canada. Give the Canucks the three Pacific Coast states as well, then we would have really have something. I'm old enough to remember Minnesota when it was great, and it WAS great. But those days are gone and they aren't coming back anytime soon.

So true, it's been a horrible week for MN sports. They've been playing like smelly turds not even a starving fly would touch.
Think I'll pick up knitting or croquet.

At least we didn't have to read about any ex Viking star running back drunk in his car with guns...that would have made the week even worse.

In reality, Minnesota actually ranks fairly well to really high in most livability metrics. For example... https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-li ... onsin-17th
But the climate does suck balls for way too many months.
