True, but they were coming off consecutive 50 win years, and they probably go to the finals in 2024 if they aren’t missing two starters (plus Brunson in the second half) in game 7. Very few coaches are “safe” in the NBA. I’m on the fence on moving away from finchy, but I don’t think his firing would be as controversial as thibs.

I don't think we need to Fire Finch but I think you can fire Finch. But you better nail it in hiring the next coach. If you bring in a terrible coach, or Nori is more of the same it's not going to help.

The way I felt about this team at halftime vs after the game are at opposite ends of the spectrum. I can't help but think something internal isn't right. They certainly didn't play for each other in the 2nd half.

If that effort becomes the norm, it won't matter what the last two seasons were because that isn't the quality of a play in team. So, something to keep an eye on.

The contrast is truly something. At the half I was really really encouraged. It looked like we were seeing how special this team could be even with their best player not playing at his best. Then the wheels came off and I just really don't have an explanation
