Did we poke the bear? - Wolves at Jazz GDT

Post by 60WinTim »

Road back-to-backs are always tough. And the Wolves not only demolished the Jazz, but downright embarrassed them just 3 days ago. How do you the Jazz are going to come out on their home court tonight?

The Jazz were bad when Kessler was playing, and they're beyond bad with him out for the season. 3-point shooting is so important in today's NBA, and Utah has only one player shooting better than the league average (Mykhailiak). In contrast the Wolves have 8, and their 9th (Naz) is barely below league average. It is a back to back, but only Rudy and Ant played 30 minutes last night. If we bring anything close to the same energy we brought the past two games, we will win this one.

Lauri is going to want to bounce back from a bad game against us last game...Ju is going to have to play him as tough as he did last time. D'Natagal pointed out the Ant guarded him a lot when Ju was out, despite giving up 9 or 10 inches!

I went back and watched more of the first and it looked like a hybrid match up zone defense that sent man after 15 seconds or so. Was very interesting.

Another hot hands game for Rudy. I also think Finch has pounded it into the likes of Randle and Ant to get him the ball when he's open, even if it means he fumbles it away at times. They do seem to be finding him more lately.
