My top target is Jrue Holiday. His age makes him a short-term fix, but he is a two-player with recent championship experience. And unlike the others mentioned, a 3rd team is not needed to complete a trade. Something like Randle and Bones for Jrue works starting 12/15. Naz and Donte for Jrue also works, but cannot be done until 1/15.

I'm not worried about filling the backup PF minutes. We have plenty of bodies to throw at those minutes, plus that kind of player is more easily found on the open market if needed.
Jrue isn't exactly a beacon of health but he is championship ready. Portland supposedly really wanted him on their roster so he seems like an unlikely get.

Not saying it's a good idea or now but I can't help but wonder if they're looking at Fox. Contract takes a huge jump next year, so probably not

Could you imagine Ant and Ja unleashed on the TC club scene? Parents, hide your daughters.

Julius Randle and Mike Conley for Ja Morant and Jock Landale. Salaries match perfectly.

Morant / Dillingham / Bones
Edwards / DDV / Clark
McDaniels / TSJ / Juzang
Naz / Miller / Ingles
Gobert / Landale / Behringer

Yeah, January still seems like the time something would happen. Fun to speculate until then, but the market will loosen up more then and the front office will know even more about our squad.

Randle is actually tradeable on 12/15. Not that I see anything happen at that point...

I'm hoping Harden demands a trade, what a duo he and Ant would be

Been thinking about this a decent amount today after listening to the latest locked on episode with Beeckon ranking some of the potential trade targets at guard.
He listed them
Garland
Ball
Morant
Which, whatever that part doesn't really matter, cause all I see when looking at that list is... Are any of those players better than Randle?

Which cuts to the center of this question imo which is maximizing the synergy around Ant and Jmac and if Randle does that or not.

Randle offers a secondary creator, who in the best case scenario is actually the hub of the offense and Ant plays off ball more. In the 3 to 4 game skid that has not been the case- Randle's play has deteriorated and he has been much less effective as a play maker and his 3 ball has been absolutely dreadful for a while now.
The 3 point shot is key I think.
I'm really struggling to see what this team does in the short term to figure this out. Either everybody just puts their own ego aside and they all figure out how to play better together -wasn't this the point of "continuity"?-
Or
They're two positions away from really solving their problems. Which is transmuting Randle into a better rebounder/shooter/defender and DDV into an actual on ball creator.
The theoretical vision of LeMelo is actually perfect next to Ant but.....I don't know why a team would bet on that unless it has to

I do believe a Randle and Donte for LaMelo and Plumlee trade works straight up. The Wolves would wind up with a bit more space under the 2nd apron to fill that 15th roster spot…

I would do this. Not because I dislike Randle and DDV, but because we’ve topped out on the current version of this team. We need to swing for the fences and do something with a high ceiling to have a chance of beating OKC and even Denver/houston. Ball would be my top choice, followed by Morant (just because he’s a massive home run swing). Randle is the one who needs to go and I think he will on 12/15. If you start Reid, I really think Miller can do some stuff off the bench, at least on offense. Also, Shannon, Jaden and Clark can all play some (very) small ball PF. I think it just makes too much sense for Randle to go.
