I would do this. Not because I dislike Randle and DDV, but because we’ve topped out on the current version of this team. We need to swing for the fences and do something with a high ceiling to have a chance of beating OKC and even Denver/houston. Ball would be my top choice, followed by Morant (just because he’s a massive home run swing). Randle is the one who needs to go and I think he will on 12/15. If you start Reid, I really think Miller can do some stuff off the bench, at least on offense. Also, Shannon, Jaden and Clark can all play some (very) small ball PF. I think it just makes too much sense for Randle to go.
I don't get why Ja Morant would be on anyone's list, not just because of his attitude and poor reputation, but because of his deteriorating skill-sets. His best season was four years ago and he's been gradually getting worse ever since. This year he's been terrible! It seems like people remember him from the early 2020s and just froze that version of him in time and just ignored the regression since then.
LaMelo Ball I understand wanting a tiny bit better.....but just a tiny bit. I certainly wouldn't do a deal for him, but it isn't completely nonsensical.

I do believe a Randle and Donte for LaMelo and Plumlee trade works straight up. The Wolves would wind up with a bit more space under the 2nd apron to fill that 15th roster spot…
This is the only suggested deal I’ve seen that has any appeal to me, although I still don’t think I’d do it. I’m ready to move Randle (selling high) for the right player(s) in return. Having both Ant and Randle slows our pace, stifles ball-movement and generally hinders the development of the team offense we need to take it to the next level. Ant’s zero turnovers tonight was refreshing, but Randle had 4 and that’s far too many from the team’s PF. For now, I want to see more of Rob and Shannon. I’d like to see the Wolves give Freeman’s two-way to Newton and get Newton some minutes at the NBA level. Then let’s see where we’re at in mid January.
I'm intrigued by a Coby White deal. Naz and Lenny for Coby and Jalen Smith. Naz seems like a natural fit for their roster and is cost controlled. Coby is due to be paid but Mike is coming off the books so he could slot somewhere in the Naz plus Mike salary range.

I think Jalen Smith would be a much better compliment to Randle than NAZ. But Coby doesn't do much for me. Coby and Donte would fight for the same role, and I like Donte quite a bit better.

After losing to the Pelicans, Hornets, and Pacers in the last 3 games, Chicago fans are begging for a rebuild on their reddit page. They view Coby as a Jordan Clarkson type player, that can score in bunches when he dominates the ball, but isn't a closer.

I'm the opposite. I think Coby is a much better ball handler and more of a scorer than Donte. Coby is the type of guy that can make teams pay by swarming Ant, which is ultimately what this team is needing.
What a clusterf*ck in Clipperland! The Mavs, without Gafford, Washington or Lively, went into LA and beat the Clippers. It's been mentioned a couple times here, but could the Wolves make a play for Harden? I suspect it is a bad idea. And it would require a 3rd team. But good old TC is not afraid to swing for the fences...
The trade would be built around Randle, who actually makes a lot of sense in LA. Originally drafted by the Lakers, he would give the Clippers a veteran PF with skills they just don't have at that position. A 3rd team and fillers would need to be added.
I remember WW was a big Harden-backer before he was drafted, although he backed out of his backing shortly before the draft. I don't remember what WW's reasoning was for the change of heart?

I'm not sayin, but I'm just sayin. . .Harden and Batum for Ju, Donte and Lenny works in Spotrac.

Wow! I didn't think there was a straight up trade that would work. The Clippers really miss Norman Powell, and Donte would help fill that void. Plus as mentioned, they don't have a player like Randle. I would think the Clippers jump at that trade. They might even be willing to add some draft compensation.
The question is, do TC and Finch think they can integrate Harden into the team? The Batum-Gobert connection from their national team would be helpful. But I kinda doubt either player would be thrilled with going from LA to Minneapolis!

I was not a Harden backer at all. I was an OJ Mayo guy.
Now I wouldn't want Harden on the team now but for a different reason: he's never reliable when you need him in the postseason. He'll get you to the playoffs, but to me he's Alex Rodriguez without the 2009 run.
