I’ve been high on Bones since we re-signed him. Guys take time to develop. And he’s never been in a spot where he could get playing time to develop because he was on a good team with established players in front of him. With a few seasons under his belt, even with limited minutes, he’s ready to blossom!WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 14, 2025 9:48 pm Bones is actually younger than Shannon which I didn't really know til today.

Kudos to you Tim, as I scoffed at the idea of Bones. I'm still not sure he's the answer at PG, as I just can't get myself over the playoff perception hump with guys like him. But my skepticism of him as a viable regular season backup PG is receding.60WinTim wrote: ↑Sun Dec 14, 2025 10:08 pmI’ve been high on Bones since we re-signed him. Guys take time to develop. While I agree (to an extent)...FNG wrote: ↑Sun Dec 14, 2025 2:04 pmI think you're right, rap. But I didn't see anyone on either the Spurs or the Thunder conserving energy last night. We talk a lot about needing a PG or handling the non-Rudy minutes here, but I think the biggest thing preventing us from challenging for a championship is that our two most important offensive players just don't care enough on defense. At least tonight we'll only have one of them.rapsuperstar31 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 14, 2025 1:59 pmAnt tends to conserve energy which is something he started doing after that Dallas series. Julius usually just looks like a lack effort most nights on the defensive end.FNG wrote: ↑Sun Dec 14, 2025 1:25 pm
I guess we have to worry about Ant being out too long, but like a few of us said last game, this team is a lot more fun to watch when he's not playing. Much more ball movement and hustling on defense. Opponents score a team worst 8.2 more points per 100 possessions when Ant is on the court. Julius is second worse at 6.9, but at least he makes up for it on the offensive end where we score a team best 16.5 points more per 100. I watched the Thunder/Spurs game last night, and I saw nobody taking plays off on defense for either team like Ant and Ju do. And the frustrating thing is both of them have the ability to be excellent defenders when they want to be. We've all seen how good a motivated Ant can be on defense, and anyone who watched Ju guarding Kawhi knows he can be good too. It's really frustrating when your two most biggest scorers don't care enough on the defensive end.
Last night was THE marquee NBA game. And it was basically for several hundred more thousand more dollars per player. That stuff matters. While I think part of OKC's success is playing hard a lot of the time... I think we might see more guys "conserving energy" if it was a Tuesday game in Utah.

Abe's Triple-Dipping DVR MN Sports Watching DVR Review:
- Bones misses an open Rudy diving the hoop early. Hey! Maybe he should get more minutes. He fits right in.
- Dillingham had a couple of attack drives... but then didn't when Precious Achuiwa was guarding him. Take that big oaf, young fella!
- Alan Horton does NOT like Russell Westbrook the basketball player. I haven't heard him rip anyone else with little digs like this. It's amusing.
- Gobert leaves... and 4 seconds later the Kings get an and-one dunk vs. Reid off the PnR.
- We've seen a lot of bad Wolves basketball. But I don't know how many of those teams were THIS bad (Kings) with as much individual talent as they have.
- Q pretty much nailed it on the rookies. Shannon had a rough one. Clark was only slightly better. And Dillingham had a couple of decent stints.
- Bones Hyland adds a unique element to this team. He's bouncy. There will be some disastrous things with him on the court... but he is an NBA level scorer. He's bounced around a bit, but I can see him thriving as an energy guy off the bench.
- DiVincenzo just does STUFF out there. Subtle things. The guy knows basketball.
- Naz Reid might be ready to go on one of those runs he goes on where he hits like 25 out of 40 threes...
- Rough game for McDaniels. Shots will go in... or they won't. But he was pouting after misses in this one. It led to a wide open three to get the Kings within 6 in the 4th quarter.
- Just keep stacking wins.

Very odd, if true. He didn't get his 6 shots but we still won to improve to 4-5 when he isn't involved in the offense...still 13-4 when he does.
Clark was mostly unproductive, but our record when he gets 14 minutes has reached the absurd level: now 14-0, and 3-9 when he doesn't. He makes things happen out there that don't show up in the box.

For Rudy, Rudy and his girlfriend (now ex) had their first kid in 2024, they broke up last postseason and she was pregnant with their second kid. There are has been speculation she cheated on Rudy and they is why they have split via tmz. Rudy denied these reports. So the belief is that they were having their second kid yesterday and they co-parent. So nothing like Ant in my opinion

Europeans are ok with having mistresses, but only the men are meant to have them.kekgeek wrote: ↑Mon Dec 15, 2025 11:31 amFor Rudy, Rudy and his girlfriend (now ex) had their first kid in 2024, they broke up last postseason and she was pregnant with their second kid.
