Another thing that does not help is Finch has 3 mouths to feed minutes. Which means none of those mouths are getting the kind of minutes for them to perhaps blossom. It's a tough situation, and I don't know what the answer is.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Thu Dec 18, 2025 6:43 pmDitto. I thought one of Shannon, Rob, or Clark could have provided that at this point, and they haven't been able to.AussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 18, 2025 1:58 pm Maybe another way to ask: is this team really an above average PG away?
I find myself unconvinced of that and I'm suspicious that a more serious shakeup is necessary (not mid season mind you). So it's just just something I ponder.
We'll see how it looks having Ant back in the lineup and Bones in the rotation
With the 2nd apron restrictions, you just have to find rotation guys on rookie contracts. Clark is the only one providing plus-level play, but he has a fairly narrow role and now he's starting to miss his open 3s. Just not a good situation all the way around.
Trade season

Re: Trade season
BTW, LaMelo is just killing it against Atlanta. Go get him?
Re: Trade season
Sometimes saying "I don't know" is the best answer! Yeah, I'm torn between the Lip Doctrine of some required minimum number of minutes needed for development and Finch's "you have to earn it" doctrine. I mean, all three of those guys are playing every night, so every game they have a fresh chance at earning more than a single stint.60WinTim wrote: ↑Thu Dec 18, 2025 6:52 pmAnother thing that does not help is Finch has 3 mouths to feed minutes. What is the goal of acquiring Harden? The only thing that would change is that if the Wolves lose in the WCF it'll completely be Harden's fault.Phenom wrote: ↑Thu Dec 18, 2025 3:58 pm Scrolling HoopsHype shows 2 interesting tidbits coming from the Stein Line. I also listened to a recent Kevin OConnor podcast about trades and he and Raheem Palmer (an LA guy) specifically talked about the Wolves and Harden being the best match on the court.
I know Ju has seemed to endear himself with many Wolves fans but could Harden be a step up from Julius?
Ju, Mike and Rob for Harden, Batum and Kobe Brown works in Spotrac.
Harden/Bones
Ant/JC
Jaden/TJ
Naz/Batum
Rudy/Joan
This would open up more time at the 4 and 5 for Jaden. Harden and Ant would be a handful. I see that Harden and Batum have veto powers on a trade. Hopefully the chance to win and for Batum to team up with Rudy would be enticing. If not, winning probably isn't that important to them anymore. I am intrigued by the idea.

Re: Trade season
According to Jon K, McConnell and Schroeder are two of the names to watch. Honestly, these two are the clear top two that I would go for overall. Neither are overpaid, both are under contract for multiple years after this year (according to he article) and both would fit really well imo. I don’t want some ball dominant, center of attention guy like Morant or Trae. Either McConnell or Schroeder would be great. We might have to give up some combo Dilly, DDV, Conley and Shannon (have to keep at least one of Dilly/Shannon for sure in my opinion), but this is the way to. Maybe we could get a backup big thrown in somewhere too.
This team has enough scorers… we need a very solid, real PG to add to our rotation. This is the way to go, and the sooner the better.

Re: Trade season
I don’t think Ant is being hated on here. I get where people are coming from in their ideas to entertain Ant trades, I’ve thought about it too. Trading him for Giannis is interesting, but I think Giannis is a terrible fit with our roster minus Ant (maybe the worst in the league), so there’s no chance of that. I wouldn’t say it’s hate to consider trading him for someone the caliber of Giannis. I was going to say Harden would be terrible, but now I’m not so sure… I’m actually starting to like it. I’m starting to like it a LOT. Rudy/Jaden/clark/Ant/Harden would be my starters. Reid, DDV and TJ off the bench. Hmmmm…. Let’s do itPhenom wrote: ↑Thu Dec 18, 2025 10:04 pmTo insulate Ant who is becoming hated here, obviously.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 18, 2025 7:52 pmWhat is the goal of acquiring Harden? Re: Trade season
I’m not a harden fan at all, but the more I think about this, the more I LOVE it. Our ultimate goal here is to somehow get past OKC, right? This really could just give us a fighting chance. Surrounding Harden with a front line of Rudy, Jaden, Clark might be the perfect fit. This is a home run swing, and the clippers might go for it because Randle is a good player on a good contract and probably a good fit with their starting lineup. I could see this happening! Harden is a freaking handful and imagine him next to Ant - holy crap, those two would be a freaking handful together. Throwing lobs to Rudy and drive and kicks for Naz, Jaden and DDV to hit corner 3’s.Phenom wrote: ↑Thu Dec 18, 2025 10:04 pmTo insulate Ant who is becoming hated here, obviously.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 18, 2025 7:52 pmWhat is the goal of acquiring Harden?
