I know this wasn’t popular, but a return of SloMo would address several weaknesses.

I think Slomo would be a really good fit but I don't see a realistic trade scenario. Any buyout steam?

For all of the good he would add, he'd still be a net negative in my I'm opinion as his shooting is really constricting. His best benefit would be if he straight up replaced Mike's minutes and I don't think that happens.

He's been a supertstar of all superstars. Should get MVP votes. What Jokic does on offense Rudy does on defense. Really they are that close.

Some will say this is hyperbolic, but the numbers actually support it...they are close to mirror images of each other. Denver scores 18.4 more points per 100 possessions when Jokic is out there, and Minnesota gives up 16.1 fewer points per 100 when Rudy is out there. Each team has to survive its non-Rudy and non-Jokic minutes to be successful, and Denver survived a little better than we did.

So, I looked into this some more and discovered that SloMo's contract for next year is non-guaranteed. So this makes him an ideal buyout candidate if Utah cannot find any trade partners by the trade deadline. I would keep SloMo on the list of potential buyout candidates...
