Re: Trade season
The Chicago Wolves, er, I mean Bulls, are up big at the half! Our future 7th-9th men Coby, Tre, and Ayo are all playing well.
Heck, now I'm worried Chicago wants to keep these guys! The Bulls are actually above the play-in line in the pathetic Eastern Conference.

Oh, they're in there, you just have to speak it into existence. I heard that at the NBA combine Greenland's standing reach was even longer than Wemby's. Now I've got Lip's attention!60WinTim wrote: ↑Tue Jan 20, 2026 8:05 pmAnd to think I was about to look up Greenland in BBref…

Their problem is what happens when Giddy comes back?Q-is-here wrote: ↑Tue Jan 20, 2026 8:11 pm The Chicago Wolves, er, I mean Bulls, are up big at the half! Our future 7th-9th men Coby, Tre, and Ayo are all playing well.![]()

Re: Trade season
Good point. And he and Coby are not a good defensive backcourt.60WinTim wrote: ↑Tue Jan 20, 2026 8:22 pmTheir problem is what happens when Giddy comes back?Q-is-here wrote: ↑Tue Jan 20, 2026 8:11 pm The Chicago Wolves, er, I mean Bulls, are up big at the half! I’m going to have to do some research on this Greenland guy. Sounds like his standing reach is fantastic. But what about his wing span?Q-is-here wrote: ↑Tue Jan 20, 2026 8:15 pmOh, they're in there, you just have to speak it into existence. Re: Trade season
The Bulls have their young, high level PG in Giddy. They could use a savvy veteran presence like Mike Conley to back him up and help him out from the bench.
. The Bulls are in the playoff hunt so I don’t see them making a trade for unproven prospects like Rob and they certainly don’t need Rob given that they have the 23 year old Giddy at PG. White gives the Bulls critical shooting/scoring prowess next to Giddy so I can’t see them trading White to the Wolves for anyone other than maybe Randle or Naz. I see Tre Jones as the odd man out for the right deal.
Sadly, I doubt the Bulls would swap Tre for Conley and Miller. I’m sure the Bulls see what apparently our own coaching staff and organization refuse to see in Conley. Donte for Tre and a future lottery protected first might be the ticket. Or maybe the Bulls would take Conley and Shannon. Shannon has the Illinois connection.

Re: Trade season
I continue to believe that we should ride our current horses to the end unless we can grab one of the Jones brothers for Mike Conley and change. If this team fizzles and folds come playoff time or ends up not even making the playoffs then it will be time for an overhaul in the offseason. I think we’re already overdue for transitioning to Wolves 2.0. Beringer’s play is very encouraging for my Wolves 2.0 vision.
Right now, other than shopping Conley and Miller for one of the Jones brothers, here’s what I’d do:
1. Play Rob 15-20 minutes consistently every game - keep him at 15 if not playing well, increase those minutes if he’s showing improvement - maybe up to 25 if he gets his footing and starts to succeed like his former Kentucky teammate Reed Sheppard. He can’t be worse than Conley, and unlike the 38 year old Conley, the 21 year old Rob is likely to get better and better.
2. Start playing Shannon 15-20 minutes a game once he returns healthy from his foot issue. I’ve cooled on Clark. We need two-way players and I don’t see a two-way player in Clark that would justify significant regular minutes every game. I also think his defense is often reckless.
3. Keep playing Beringer.
