The Jazz loss was a wakeup call. But the Bulls loss was an accumulation of just enough little things that didn't go in the Wolves favor (some self-inflicted). So, I am calling a mulligan off the 1st tee. The 18-par streak starts today. Pars or better from here on out! (a loss is a klu-errr bogie...)
Butler is out for the season. His temporary replacement, Kuminga, is out today, and maybe even the next game. The only caution I have is how the Wolves sometimes let go of the rope when opponents are missing key players. But I don't see that happening today -- the Wolves have not had a 5-game losing streak since the DLo era!
This revelation has me back in Lip's corner -- TC will not make an in-season trade involving our top 6 players. But I do believe the cavalry is coming. Between Mike's fall, Shannon's injury, and Dilly's lack of improvement, the bench poo-poo platter (thanks, Cam!) of Mike, Shannon, Dilly, Clark and Bones has been a real drag on the team. I lay odds that TC makes a move that injects a spark into the bench.

Ha, love the mulligan concept, Tim...we'll grant you one!
Here is my pledge for today: Each of the last two games I've waxed enthusiastically in the GDT when our better pace got us off to a great start...and then everything went to hell. So today I pledge not to be enthusiastic if we dominate early.
I agree that the Wolves are not going to let go of the rope today...it's not hard to get up for a team that has Steph and Draymond. And we should be able to beat the Warriors is we play hard. They're not a bad team...9th in the Association in net rating compared to our 7th. But that's with General Soreness playing, arguably their best player. Curry is still a marvelous shooter, but he is a defensive liability...he's going to tire quickly if he has to chase Donte around all game. And the Wolves are going to have a huge height advantage...assuming Post doesn't start, our three starting bigs are taller than everyone in the Warriors' starting lineup. We should have a field day on the offensive boards.
After favoring the Wolves by too many points the last two games, Vegas has lost respect for us and only has us favored by 5 1/2. I don't think that is nearly enough. I thought the cold weather might limit attendance today, but from the looks of the sky high ticket prices on StubHub, it might be a full house.

I remember after the Bulls first timeout the Wolves players seemed awfully pleased with themselves. I thought that might mean trouble...

Wolves game postponed to tomorrow at 5:30 due to the shooting today. Right thing to do in my opinion
Re: Mulligan! - Warriors at Wolves GDT
Yeah, Minneapolis is looking like a tinderbox, with both sides throwing gasoline on it. I would not be surprised if things continue to flare up and we wind up postponing tomorrow's game as well.

It used to be such a great state. It was awesome to grow up there and I'm saddened by the current state of affairs.
