Naz is not good enough to be a centerpiece of a core and Jaden might be too passive to be part of one too. Too many games this season where Jaden can easily grab the bull by the horns and put in work on offense and it doesn't happen. There isn't a guy on this team besides Ant or Randle who on any given night can go off for 30 or 40.
I agree with This take. Let’s stop overvaluing Naz. He’s on a decent contract but he’s not a core piece on a championship team. I know this isn’t popular but I’m honestly good with trading anyone including Ant for the right package. I know that won’t happen, but it might if I was in charge. Again, might sound weird, but the one guy I’m keeping is Joan. He has an unlimited ceiling in my opinion and I’m not giving that up. Realistically, I’d be looking to trade any of Randle, Naz or Rudy for the package or packages bringing the best value.
Pretty funny to suggest you would trade Ant if the right opportunity presents itself but Joan is untouchable cause his ceiling is unlimited.
Some might call that ironic
I did say it wasn’t realistic. I know we’re not trading Ant, but IF we slide down to the play in and then lose in the first round, I would seriously start to consider it, IF I was in TC’s chair. It’s just personal preference. You don’t achieve greatness by being afraid that someone is going to laugh at you and call you a joke. You think people werent saying the same thing to Presti when he traded Paul George? I know he wasn’t in the same spot as Ant, but still). I’d listen to offers on anyone this offseason if we go one and done in he playoffs

Edit
Actually, no, Paul George is a great comparison - he was 3rd in mvp voting prior to that trade (higher than Ant will be) and presti pulled the trigger. Maybe you wanna laugh at him for doing that? Ant isn’t necessary the “end all, be all”. Let’s see what he does this year

I would trade Naz in the right deal. In fact, a good one might be Naz and Conley for Mathurin and Nembhard. Works in trade machine as well.

Paul George was 29, and had previously had a major injury that could have shortened his career...spoilers it caught up to him. If you can guarantee me SGA, the draft pick that gets Jalen Williams, and multiple other picks that OKC got sure you can listen. SGA didn't make the playoffs at 24 years old, should they have traded him?

I hear you and know you weren't suggesting it was likely. If based on current information you think it's reasonable to see Ant as a tradable asset then well, you're certainly entitled to that opinion, you just won't get me agree with it.

However, what I was laughing at is the assertion that Joan should be untouchable because of his unlimited ceiling while in the same breath saying you would trade Ant in the right scenario.

I just think there are holes in that logic because of what Ant's ceiling is- which is being the best player in the world

A lot of untimely injuries as it pertains to the trade market... Tre Jones, along with Giannis, AD, Ja, Kuminga, and I am sure there are others.

I think there is a better than 50-50 chance TC makes a trade, but not much more than that. The question will be "how big a trade is it?"

I also rate SloMo buyout and sign with the Wolves at about 50-50...

Chicago with the win over Boston tonight puts them above .500 and just 1.5 games out of the 6th seed in the east. It wouldn't shock me if Chicago doesn't trade one of their guards this season.

Does that mean Chicago no longer counts as a loss to a sub-.500 team for the Wolves?!? I wasn’t sure how that worked…. ;)
