I personally disagree with Cool and his belief systems but that does not mean I don’t respect him massively by as a human. That’s why America is great, we can have different opinions but at the end of the day we are American.

And isn’t this message board what America is all about, we all come from different backgrounds and have different beliefs systems but we all can come together and talk Timberwolves basketball. At the end of the day we are all humans and for the most part we are Americans and at the end of the day I love talking ball with each and every one of you and I appreciate your opinion and we make a damn good community and in my opinion that is what what makes America great
So well said, kek.

Remember when I was adamant about not discussing politics (and peddling propaganda conspiracy theories) on the main board?

We have this for that reason: viewtopic.php?t=4

Use it if you want. As for the brief skirmish we had today:

1. Nice job taking control of it.
2. Good supension. Been Lurkin came here specifically to antagonize and politicize.
3. If Cool's latest rant and declaration are for real... good. This place is great for talking basketball if you're not an asshole.

What exactly does the first sentence on #3 mean? Uhhh… my name is Abe and I’m adamant about not talking politics, so instead I just take veiled shots at people I don’t agree with.

Since this thread is no longer Timberwolves related, I moved it to the General Discussion forum...

It's not that complicated. Lol.

Cool claimed he was leaving. But I don't think he really meant it. Considering about 96.4% of the dust-ups around here involve the guy being argumentative, I'm cool if he doesn't return just as I wrote. It wasn't veiled at all.

As for politics... also not very complicated. Just do it in the General Discussion forum (where this is now) and not in basketball threads.

I don't think this has hit the main stream, yet. But it looks like the shooting was a tragic set of events. As the struggle was occurring, an officer is able to pull the gun, I assume out of a holster, and turned to walk away. As he started walking away the gun discharged. The other officers involved in the struggle jump back at the sound of a gun shot and fire, assuming the shot came from the guy.

You know I lean right, but after ICE started encountering severe resistance weeks ago without any support from local authorities, they should have pulled out. The administration could then pursue bureaucratic options to force the assistance of local authorities, and then commence their mission. Kristi Noem has been terrible, but Walz and Frey have been just as bad, if not worse, for throwing gasoline on the fire. My hope is that ICE pulls out until assistance from local authorities can be secured.

Tragic indeed Tim and I agree with your conclusion. Trump and the Republicans are going to get absolutely wiped out in the mid-terms IMO. Most Americans are OK with stopping the flow of illegal immigrants and deporting criminals. But after that you can draw a pretty hard line in the sand where the majority of folks are not OK, especially with some of the overtly aggressive tactics being used and ensuing tragedies.

One of the unfortunate results is that ICE agents are carcicatured by a lot of folks on the far left as bloodthirsty Nazis and have zero sympathy for the situation they are put in. I'm sure there are some bad apples and some poorly trained ICE agents, but it's terrible when their humanity is removed in total and people submit to their own rage and hate. Not much different than all the cheering on from far leftists when Luigi Mangione shot the United Healthcare exec. Awful!
