Clippers closing in on a deal for Darius Garland for James Harden. Didn't see that coming. Apparently Harden wants a change of scenery.

I didn't see that one coming either. But James Harden always seems to want a change in scenery.

Clippers are a cap space team in 2027, so he is gonna want an extension.

Heh, I figured they'd jump in the action here! That's why I didn't update Harden's status on my latest Guard post with the Garland rumours swirling. The fat lady hasn't sung yet!

(Harden is a tough one to root for, but no doubt brings a skill-set that would help immensely on offense. He will actually find Rudy when he's wide open and can put the ball in a place that Rudy can catch).

I had read this morning that Harden is interested in Minnesota but the Wolves were not but maybe that is when compared to Giannis.

I think the appeal of Harden for Julius is the OKC matchup. While the Wolves have won 2 of 3, Julius seems to just smash his head against the wall when he plays them. Harden with Ant would give the OKC perimeter defenders more to think about.

Acquiring him wouldn't necessarily preclude a Giannis trade in the future either.

Harden would be quite the choice for a team looking for a way over the proverbial playoff hump.

Not too different than what has been said about Julius.

The Grizz couldn't have traded JJJ last night? I wonder what this does to SloMo buyout chances.
