Sorta irrelevant... but amusing...

Bill Simmons came out hard touting his Trade Index list. I know he's not really a knowledgeable basketball guy, but he still has a hefty following. Anyway, he had Jaden McDaniels ranked #65 in the NBA.

One spot ahead of Rudy Gobert... one spot behind Garland, two behind Lu Dort and a few spots behind KAT, Embiid and Davis.

[Note: Heck, Julius Randle is ranked #46. LOL.]

Gobert is a multi time dpoy. About to win another. Garland is a former all star. Ranks sound about right. I would have julius further down the ranks closer to those three.

And whoever said Bill doesn't know the nba, is a casual.

If there are 30 teams and each had two good players that is 60 ranks. For context. So nothing about Jadens or Julius' ranks are whack

There is just no way to imagine a trade like this happening without the roster being hollowed out and needing at least one off-season to re-tool around the two superstar dynamic.

The Wolves top 6 are no worse than the 3rd best in the league for my money and it would just be a huge disservice to not play that out this season or, better yet, bring reinforcements off the bench
I agree.

I do not know how many times i need to repeat this, we are not winning a chip this season, with this roster. So this season is "punted" regardless.

Mavs are all in on rebuilding around Flagg. Kyrie Irving will be the next shoe to drop. But who would want him and how much would any team be willing to give up. No doubt the Mavs will be looking for draft capital and/or a young talented player. Sure hope the Wolves stay away from Kyrie.

The wolves also could be in the Middleton sweepstakes now in the buyout market what was impossible a day ago (same with Derozan)

You are probably right, which is another reason to largely stand pat until the off season. I’d add a glue piece or two without giving up any significant assets and play out the season. I’ve always thought we’re overdue to pivot to Wolves 2.0 build around Ant, Jaden and Naz. I think Beringer and Rocco should also be viewed as part of Wolves 2.0. Beyond that, we have lots of assets to work with next summer, including our 1st round picks. Unfortunately TC reduced the value of our 2026 pick by giving the Pistons a trade swap to facilitate the Mike Conley deal, but the pick will still have value as part of a package.

Yeah but for me Giannis would be that 2.0 team build. 4 solid years anyways imo. I have NEVER been this excited for possible Wolves team since 03/04 season. Including how good we were in 23/24.
