There’s a game tonight - Wolves at Raptors GDT

Every time I watch Quickley, he looks great. I thought Toronto was looking to get off his money. Hmm…

I know Toronto is a good team, but this is pathetic.

This has nothing to do with Naz and everything about not playing a lick of defense that last two games. No team I have watched gives such a half assed effort. If Finch can't fix it he needs to go. These guys aren't even trying on defense. It's pathetic

I forget if it was Aussie or someone else that has been lobbying for him, but I've never understood why guys think he's so available. He's a very solid starting NBA PG on a playoff-bound team. The market for that these days is about $30-35M, which is what he's paid.

Can't say I disagree with you Crazy on the first part. The extra effort on defense and ball movement on offense - same old story when we're not playing well.Crazysauce wrote: ↑Wed Feb 04, 2026 7:37 pm This has nothing to do with Naz and everything about not playing a lick of defense that last two games. As for Finch, I think he's getting at his wit's end as well. He may want to get fired and move onto a less frustrating situation where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
But.....Big but here....let's see what happens tomorrow. That could give Finch a different mix of players and provide a jolt. Or we just soldier on with largely the same group and then we can expect an offseason of changes most likely.

He always looks good to me, but yeah.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Wed Feb 04, 2026 7:40 pmI forget if it was Aussie or someone else that has been lobbying for him, but I've never understood why guys think he's so available. [Scotto] The Toronto Raptors have offered RJ Barrett and Ochai Agbaji to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Domantas Sabonis. The Raptors require finding a third team to take on draft compensation in addition to Jakob Poeltl or Immanuel Quickley.

What a send off for Julius and Jaden this is turning out to be

Would Quickley look good in our low energy system?rapsuperstar31 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 04, 2026 7:46 pmHe always looks good to me, but yeah.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Wed Feb 04, 2026 7:40 pmI forget if it was Aussie or someone else that has been lobbying for him, but I've never understood why guys think he's so available. Predicting we would be inspired on defense tonight might be my worst call of the season.

Not to rationalize away a likely loss, but Toronto is actually a very good team. You would just hope the #4 defense in the NBA as of a week ago (since dropped to #7 thanks to Memphis) could get a few more stops.
