Glutton for punishment Hawks @ Wolves GDT
I'm going to give it a try. Hopefully the Wolves remember the last game against Atlanta. They owe them an L.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Flagrant Howls is entertaining how hot Finch's seat is...
If the Wolves lose these last two games heading into the All-Star break, especially if it is marred by a lack of effort, how hot do you think Finchy's seat is? You gotta wonder!

It will be really hot IMO. I think at that point it's just a question if Connelly and ownership play out the string and make the change in the offseason or feel like a more immediate change is necessary to salvage the season.
It may depend in how much confidence they have in Micah. If their theory is they need to bring in a whole new regime, then may be just wait until the offseason and Finch is basically gone unless he pulls a rabbit out of a hat in the post-season.
But if they really like Micah then doing something more immediate and giving him a tryout as the interim head coach the rest of this season makes more sense. The All-Star Break would actually be a good time to do it.
Finch has been our coach for ~ 5 seasons. Even he may be growing tired of the job and want a fresh start somewhere else or go be a top assistant somewhere.

I think last year at times he looked really worn down, more so then this season. I got to imagine it's a fairly stressful job all in all. I wouldn't be against a change now or at the break, but I'm also not fully convinced a change is needed either. I do wonder if a change does somehow raise our ceiling a little but it could maybe backfire too.Q-is-here wrote: ↑Mon Feb 09, 2026 12:05 pmIt will be really hot IMO. Going back to Flagrant Howls... The topic at the 24 minute mark is about how Rudy is 99th percentile defensively per 100 possessions according to cleaning the glass, and Randle is 1st percentile. Yowsers!

I saw that. Pretty stunning. Of course, Randle is 99th percentile offensively and I believe he is a net +1 positive between the two.60WinTim wrote: ↑Mon Feb 09, 2026 3:46 pm Going back to Flagrant Howls... Rudy's comments, followed by Finch, has set off a firestorm. Here is Kevin O'Conner's podcast with Dane on in the first segment.
In my book, good for Rudy!

Have only listen for a few minutes yet before getting interrupted by the kiddo's, but Dane nails it almost right away, to paraphrase: Ant can be really good in isolation and you often actually see him bring a lot of energy there, but that's not what they really need from him. Bend your knees and stop playing flat footed off the ball.60WinTim wrote: ↑Mon Feb 09, 2026 5:45 pmDane's on for about 30 minutes. Dang! This is something I've said quite a bit. Ant up and down energy gets a bit of a pass from me because of what he does on offense. I wish it wasn't true but this is what most star players do, and it makes sense that he feel he should conserve energy when he can, but it isn't a good use of energy to randomly decide to be the teams best point of attack defender when all we need you to do is pay attention when you're assigned to Derrick Jones
