Ok we know that Conley is gonna come back and get one of these spots but Connelly said that we might see some familiar faces...who else could that mean? If we get Kyle Anderson back that would be awesome but is Memphis gonna cut him loose? He started against Portland. Lol
Who would you like to see signed to that 15th spot? I'd like to see a frontcourt player it seems like someone actually capable of playing either C or PF in the playoffs would be smart as another option or if there was an injury.
Last roster spots
Re: Last roster spots
Malik Beasley? Charlie Brown Jr? Jarrett Culver? Jesse Edwards? CJ Fulton? Taj Gibson? Alize Johnson? James Johnson? KJ Martin? Shake Milton? Monte Morris? Jaylen Nowell? Elfrid Payton? Matt Ryan?
How are those for familiar faces?

Re: Last roster spots
DeAngelo Russell is expected to hit the buyout market. Another familiar face
Re: Last roster spots
Chris Paul was officially waived from Toronto. But you can cross him off your list as he has officially retired...
Somewhere over the All-Star Break is when the cost of two prorated vet minimum contracts fall within the cap space the Wolves have under the 1st apron. So, I would think Mike signs before the Wolves next game on the 20th.
The question is: what happens for that last roster spot. The most anti-climatic transaction would be converting Juzang to a standard contract. If that does not happen by the 20th, I would expect the Wolves to hold off until at least March 1st to see who shows up on the buyout market...

Re: Last roster spots
As mentioned previously, Kyle Anderson would be a solid addition, if he were to get bought out.
Another name to watch is Mason Plumlee. He was waived as part of all the trade deadline maneuvers. He is recovering from a groin injury and was supposed to be re-evaluated during the all-star break. Normally, I would say "why would Mason come here?" But he does have a history with TC when he played several years for Denver. He would be a solid addition for big man depth. I suspect he will have other "warmer" options from contending teams looking for big man depth.

Re: Last roster spots
So much for Plumlee -- the Spurs snarfed him up.
But that's okay, we are just waiting for SloMo to arrange his buyout!

Re: Last roster spots
As seem preordained, the Wolves have waived Johnny Juzang. He only had a game or two left of eligibility, and it didn't make much sense to convert him to a standard contract. So, not only are we monitoring the buyout market, we also looking at another two-way player.
TC specifically said "potentially some familiar faces" for the last two roster spots. I am having a hard time coming up with anyone other than SloMo. I doubt it's TJ Warren...

Re: Last roster spots
Are there any players in Iowa (or former Iowa Wolves) they could sign to a 2-way deal?Phenom wrote: ↑Wed Feb 18, 2026 8:22 pmYou didn't like my list?60WinTim wrote: ↑Wed Feb 18, 2026 4:32 pm As seem preordained, the Wolves have waived Johnny Juzang.
