It's been 14 days since the Wolves dropped to 13 players on the roster, so today is the day that Mike Conley will be re-signed.

Welcome back, Mike! But I'll be disappointed if you are back in the regular rotation...
I feel kinda bad for Donte losing his starting role, but he’ll be fine off the bench 😏.

Next up? SloMo! I'm laying 50-50 odds this happens.

Make it happen Tim. We want to see Mike and Kyle get a ring this year.

I'm fine with these guys as insurance, but neither should play any sort of critical role in either getting to the playoffs or in the playoffs assuming everyone else is healthy. Conley and SloMo are two big reasons we lost to Dallas in the Conference Finals and they were two years younger back then!

I was watching I think it was a Miami game and they turned out some pressure and gave the wolves some problems at the end of the game. I could see Conley out there as a trust ball handler at times here and there. I think there could be some hope that maybe some time off could get him fresher so when he is out there maybe he can be more effective. The real key is now he should be used as an old trusted vet closer to Joe Ingles as an inbounds passer han a regular rotation guy. I think he could help the team at times maybe even in a playoff game depending on what the need is. Part of the problem with him playing is the Wolves have needed more scoring and he provides basically nothing there.

Kyle Anderson or probably whatever frontcourt player they sign will be more for insurance if someone gets hurt than someone that gets any type of actual rotation minutes if everyone is healthy. He could be a guy that is also deployed if they need another ball handler in certain situations. Part of me thinks a they should look for someone that could actually play center but if it's random center guy or Kyle Anderson I'll probably take Anderson because I think Anderson is probably still a pretty good player. I have no idea why the Memphis would keep him around unless they want to keep his salary for future trade purposes. He played there though so they may value him being around the rest of the season too idk.

Ballhandling, injury insurance. . . what do you guys think is the team's biggest need going forward?

Consistent effort. I listened to a pod yesterday where they said the Wolves are as good as any team in the league when Ant and Ju try on defense. When asked whether the Wolves were alone in needing consistent effort, they answered pretty much...teams like the Thunder, Pistons, Celtics, and Spurs seem to not take games off like the Wolves do. It doesn't mean they don't sometimes lose to inferior teams...they might lose just because they have an off shooting night. But when the Wolves lose to a team they should beat, it's usually because of effort.

I wish the local media would hold our two high scorers accountable when they interview them after a bad loss. Rather than "what do you think happened out there tonight?", I'd rather hear "National media talks about the Wolves not bringing it every night, and especially you two...how can you change that?".

I'm guessing if Dane asked that, he wouldn't be allowed back in the locker room. I remember Durant after getting traded from Phoenix saying fans online wanted me gone, the local reporters blamed me for everything wrong, and so I'm gone. Something like that.

Ha, you are correct, Cypress...I had the same thought seconds after I hit the submit button! Still wish it would happen though. Maybe someone like Robson who doesn't have as much runway left might do it.

Drew, I'm assuming mean for next year and beyond? They are pretty much what they are going to be for the rest of this season. Let's hope when the playoffs start we are peaking. As far as the intermediate future goes, I think they need to allow Jaden to grow into the 2nd star on this team. That means trading Randle for other assets. To me it's the most critical development that needs to happen.
