No Rudy tonight. Will Embiid play? Will Joel give him a proper introduction to a dominant big man? With all of the injuries in his past, he has said he learned that shouldn't play through pain, BUT
He also knows he team hasn't fared well without him recently. The Sixers are desperate to end their losing streak and that is often a bad scenario for our Wolves.
Welcome to the NBA Joan! Sixers @ Wolves GDT

I was going to say that Shannon is likely to see more minutes than Joan, although I expect both to play. But I see NAZ has been added to the injury report as Questionable.
On another note, Rocco has been transferred back up! Could we see his first NBA minutes tonight (which might not be a good indicator for a win...)?

Rocco would be absolutely annihilated by Embiid and/or Drummond. I'm worried about Naz and Beringer too, as the refs won't let them touch Embiid and Drummond will easily uproot them from their positions.
I like the progress and path Rocco is on, but he is not ready for real NBA minutes yet. Needs to get a lot stronger in his base/core.
The area I do see an advantage is in transition. Beringer especially could get a lot of easy points if he really focuses on running the floor.

Man, that short Beringer stint in that Mavs game was fun!
He really can defend well.
He's beefed up since last summer, but yeah, big guys like Embiid or Jokic will likely bully him until he gets an even stronger base. It feels a little greedy to wish he were just an inch or two taller, since that would give him Gobert-size length and reach and with Joan's athleticism (and hands) that would really pop. Think of a defensive-focused Deandre Jordan.
Still, he's got legit center height and reach. I've seen 9'3" reach and 7'4.5" wingspan, standing 7 feet in shoes. That's right around a Jarrett Allen/Timelord/JJJ size. That's not the elite reach that Rudy has (basically, Rudy has top 5 length for a regular rotation player--I think only Wemby, Edey, Clingan, and Mark Williams are longer). But it definitely looks like Beringer will get more stout, which is good. So the physicals and instincts are there for him to potentially become a very good defensive center. And if he happened to grow another inch or so, that would be awesome!
Rocco, of course, is even bigger, but he moves about as athletically as I do from what I can tell so far.
Remember Ben Wallace? He was shorter than most centers he defended but he basically couldn't be moved down in the post, so he was still an awesome defender against them.
Anyway, I love watching Beringer play. Unless he develops some offensive skills like jumpshooting or even being able to dribble a couple times, he'll always be a limited player on that end and that will really cap his ceiling. I know he can finish around the basket pretty well, and Britt has said he thinks Joan could become a star, but I don't necessarily see that unless he can ultimately hit a jump shot and dribble the ball just a bit. Still, the baseline for him is basically that he's on track to be a prime Clint Capela, possibly pretty soon, and that's pretty good. Imagine if you put him with a lob-tosser like Luka, Harden, or Trae. And if, with Ayo and TSJ, we actually started running in transition more, I think he'd give you plenty there as well.
But yeah, a baseline of a very good defensive center with a high motor who can at least do some things offensively like catch the ball and finish at the rim? I'll take that from a pick outside the lottery.
EDIT: Looks like Embiid is out tonight.

Yeah, I thought I read Embiid was dealing with right knee soreness, so sitting out last night was not an attempt to rest him for tonight, but a legit problem that could easily have him missing tonight, too.

Too bad Naz is out, would like to see Naz and Beringer on the floor together as an Ant version 2.25 preview.
Randle needs to pay some defense tonight...LOL.
