Revenge best served cold- Clips/Wolves GDT

Post by FNG »

I'll keep the GDT honors until our squad loses a game, if ever. I'm still bitter about dropping $150 on Super Bowl Sunday to watch the Wolves stink up the court against the Clippers...I hope our guys are as pissed off as I am, and bring their A game tonight. The MO of this team is they play well when they are MOtivated, so I expect a good effort tonight...and hopefully a win.

Kawhi embarrassed us last game, but in all fairness, he has been terrific against everyone for several weeks now. Neither Jaden or Ant were successful trying to stop him, and surprisingly, Ju was by far the most effective. I'm guessing Finchy calls on Jaden again to guard Kawhi, but based on the performance last game, I would have Ju on Kawhi, Jaden on Collins, and hide Ant on either Jones or Dunn. Matherin has been really good for them off the bench, and I want Jaden on him when he comes in.

Last game Lopez and Yanic really got under Rudy's skin...he doesn't like either of them. My biggest concern tonight is that Rudy loses his temper and gets another flagrant...we can't afford that.

I'm kind of surprised Vegas has us favored by 5 1/2. The Clips have lost 2 in a row, but only by a combined 5 points. I think this one is going to be close enough to keep me up far past my bedtime.

It is wild how often guys seem to be out against the Wolves.

Maybe they know it's the best way to beat us... :D

It does take a bit of "revenge" out of the revenge game. Assuming a win, though, all that matters is setting up the next game at Denver which should have significant ramifications for home court advantage in the playoffs.

So sad, but oh so true.

The one thing I love about the wolves I don’t think anyone really ever takes a rest day

Yeah, kind of unique in the Association, I think. Maybe Mike has had a rest day this season, but I can't think of anyone else.

I hear the comments about Kawhi being out as possibly not being a good thing for us, but I think we were so embarrassed by the Clips a couple weeks ago, we will be focused tonight. And Kawhi won't be lighting us up. I feel much more comfortable with a win tonight knowing he is out.

I knew I should not have started watching the Rockets/Magic game. I tuned in an the Magic were up almost 20 early in the 3rd. The Rockets have the lead starting the 4th. :( I'll change the channel now...

I hate that pass to Rudy in traffic. Just stupid.

I'd like to see the Wolves throw some late doubles at Mathurin to try and throw off his rhythm and make the others make shots.
