Re: Catchers
I saw that. Kind of shocking we lost a catcher of all positions. It used to be a pretty strong position for us.

Suzuki signed Braves for 1.5M as backup. He could have been good in that role here.

We don't need him we got Chris Gimenez. :)
I wish Suzuki well he was a solid player for the Twins and was a pretty solid FA signing. I would have liked to see him back as a backup. I wonder is part of the plan is to do some platooning. For example it's a small sample but Gimenez has more success vs Lefties and Castro has been better in his career against Righties. Suzuki for his career is basically the same no batter which handed picrcher he was being pitched too. It's kinda amazing (although still far from impressive) but you don't get the platoon advantage with him...probably. Gimenez has familarialty with both Falvey and Lavine and it sounds like he has a good rep as a vet who knows how to work with pitchers and frame etc. Hopefully a younger player steps up but if Castro and Gimenez can do a terrific job as vet catchers and get a hit here and there I'd be satisfied.

Centeno was signed by the Astros. This article said he was one of the worst pitch framers in the game.
