Julius 0-4 from 3. NAZ 1-8, 0-4 from 3, and only 3 points. Donte 1-5 from 3 and only 7 points. Plus the Griz on fire from deep, at least in the first half. It's actually impressive they won as easily as the did, despite the end-of-game meltdown trying to get ANT his 40-piece.

Ayo with a bench high 29 minutes. NAZ is cool when he is hot from 3, but Ayo (and SloMo) are just solid pieces off the bench that makes that unit pretty dang good.

Ayo speeds the Wolves up, which will generate a few turnovers both ways. This team should be out on the break as much as possible with the athletes that they have. The Ayo change up will only get better as the players get used to each other and their tendencies.

For those that missed it, here is the late-game stretch where Ant went absolutely super-nova. All of these plays happened in less than 3 minutes of game action late in the 4th quarter between the 6:30 and 3:30 mark. Amazing stuff.

Donte is a joy to watch and playing the best basketball of his career. I was happy when he was included in the KAT deal, but my impression of him was that he was a one-act pony...a terrific volume 3-point shooter who didn't do much else. And that is kind of what we got last season. But his hustle and effectiveness on defense this season has been huge for us. He was again the team leader last night with a +21 despite missing 4 out of 5 treys, and he continues to lead the Wolves in on/off at 9.8...miles ahead of Rudy's 5.3 and Jaden's 2.2. Even more impressive, Jon K tweets that Donte ranks in the top 10 in the league in on/off. The other 9? Joker, Wemby, White, Ball, Mitchell, Diabate, Kawhi, Lauri and Shae. Except for Diabate, that is really impressive company to be in, and goes to show how valuable Donte is to us this season,

Ha, I fell asleep in the 4th quarter and missed this, so thanks for posting Q...wow! Nothing more fun than when Ant gets cooking!

Almost as fun were his post-game comments:

"I love the city of Minnesota". In all fairness, he didn't have a geography class in his year at Georgia.

"I'm not a fan of playing fast". Some of us have said Ant is the barrier to the Wolves playing fast, but it's just not in his DNA. But it was good to hear him acknowledge that adding Ayo and Bones to the rotation might force him to play faster. "When they in I don't have a choice, because I want the ball and they gone!" Ant is terrific in the half court, but it would be more fun if he would get out and run more with our greyhounds.

Just another one of those stretches of basketball that can only be accomplished by Edwards. There just isn't another player who can hit 3 step backs treys, have those two blocks, and a baseline fade away! Add the steal and an impressive drive that led to a Julius put back and it's just a astounding combination of plays

If you were to ask God (or the Universe or Mother Nature or whatever cosmic force you believe in) to create the ideal combination of size, strength, speed, and agility in a basketball player, the being created would likely be Anthony Edwards or someone very close to him (ok, may be LeBron and THEN Ant). He is IDEALLY suited to be a monster on the fast break, live at the free throw line, and be a monster defensive force.

Yet instead he's become the 2nd greatest shooter on the planet, has unbelievable footwork and ambidexterity that often makes fouling him difficult, and prefers to play slow. LOL!

Just a wild and fun ride so far that never could have been predicted while watching him at Georgia.

Unreal clip and Grady adds to the excitement like only he can.
