So far with our sample size of Moore Jr., Minott, Miller, and Dillingham no one can point to Finch and say, "See! It was his fault for not developing them!" At least not yet. Meanwhile, Connelly's body of work in the draft as the Wolves POBO continues to look less and less impressive.
Rob Dillingham and Leonard Miller or draft assets?

Legit a lot of pressure on Beringer and/or Rocco to be good. He’s done very good on the margin signings in Bones and Naw but his drafting has been garbage. At the moment it has not come back to hurt but it will at Ant next contract extensionQ-is-here wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2026 8:45 pmSo far with our sample size of Moore Jr., Minott, Miller, and Dillingham no one can point to Finch and say, "See! *i still think Connley is really good at his job.
Re: Rob Dillingham and Leonard Miller or draft assets?
Really good Miller game tonight. A double double in a win.
Another god awful Dilly game.
Good for miller, it might just be a Anthony Randolph run for him but he is giving himself a chance to stick in the NBA

Miller and Dilly both had good games vs the lakers
Re: Rob Dillingham and Leonard Miller or draft assets?
Last weekend and I'm been going through watching all the games I was watching that one game where the Wolves threw Miller out there and he was ok helped some and didn't really hurt anything. It was kind of a nice game to see the Wolves throwing whoever out there and having some success. Well I don't think Dillingham played which was I did notice...kekgeek wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2026 9:04 pmLegit a lot of pressure on Beringer and/or Rocco to be good. In Denver Connelly had plenty of misses too but he also hit on other picks. He also had a variety of instances where he dumped guys and got some sort of value for them. RJ Hampton was in that Aaron Gordon trade. The thing Connelly does is it seems like he always finds a way to give him another opportunity to add a player in case the one he picked or added doesn't work out. That's what you gotta do. Nobody hits on every pick not even Sam Presti. I do agree Connelly's drafting for the Wolves so far should be under scrutiny although the Beringer and Rocco picks look promising.
Re: Rob Dillingham and Leonard Miller or draft assets?
I think TC’s drafting with the Wolves merits more than scrutiny; it merits strong criticism. I believe the Wolves have drafted 10 players in TC’s tenure. So far he’s hit on only one of them - Walker Kessler. Note also that TC maneuvered quite a bit to get some of these guys, including a very targeted trade up to get Dillingham. The jury’s still out on Beringer and Rocco. I like both, but I liked Dillingham, Minott and Miller. I still think Dillingham can be good, but so far the evidence isn’t there to support my thesis on him. I also still see promise in TSJ, but again the signs aren’t good this season. I don’t have much confidence in Clark. The fact that he played himself out of the rotation after initially being Finchy’s darling among the young guys is telling. I also remember him as one of our Wes Johnson disciples constantly laughing and joking on the bench with Moore. I don’t think he’s serious about playing NBA basketball.Monster wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2026 9:32 pmLast weekend and I'm been going through watching all the games I was watching that one game where the Wolves threw Miller out there and he was ok helped some and didn't really hurt anything. If Beringer and Rocco both pan out, that would mean TC will have hit on 3 of his 10 picks with the Wolves. That’s still not impressive although it looks better if Beringer eventually becomes an all-star, which I think is possible. If Dillingham and TSJ also pan out along with Beringer and Rocco, that would be a pretty good answer to TC’s critics like me. And maybe Clark will pan out as well. So the jury’s not entirely out on TC’s draft tenure. But as of right now, TC has been an abject failure drafting for the Wolves.
TC has done fairly well with trades and cap management. But even there, I think he gave up too much for Rudy and made a serious mistake keeping Randle. Hard not to like two consecutive trips to the Conference Finals. But we’re not even a playoff team without the players/assets TC inherited from Rosas — Ant, Jaden, Naz and KAT along with all the players and picks TC used to acquire Rudy. I think it’s borderline sacrilege to refer to TC in the same breath as Sam Presti based on TC’s tenure with the Wolves.

Leonard Miller's last three games:
17 PTS - 11 REB - 1 STL vs. GSW
15 PTS - 9 REB - 1 STL vs. LAL
14 PTS - 8 REB - 2 STL vs. LAC

Re: Rob Dillingham and Leonard Miller or draft assets?
I think Miller has a future in this league...maybe not in the starting role he has now with Chicago, but at least as a rotation player. For some reason, Finchy just didn't like him. But that happens with coaches...we saw it at Golden State with Kerr and Kominga. I could never understand why he didn't get minutes there.
Re: Rob Dillingham and Leonard Miller or draft assets?
May be Finch didn't like him, but to me the bigger issue was he was almost 100% redundant with Naz and Julius. There just wasn't much of an opportunity for him even if Finch did like him.FNG wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2026 6:55 pmI think Miller has a future in this league...maybe not in the starting role he has now with Chicago, but at least as a rotation player.
