Pups vs Nuggs game 6 GDT
Re: Pups vs Nuggs game 6 GDT
Looked at the box score some more. The Wolves ended this game with 7 turnovers!?! How many did they have early on? They really took care of the ball after that which is a pretty big deal.

AI says you guys are right: "Ant is rehabbing at a specialized sports rehab facility".Monster wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2026 9:49 amThere has never been a question about Edwards supporting his teammates.FNG wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2026 9:32 amI guess we'll find out, but I would hope the Timberwolves have better medical care than anything in Europe...didn't turn out so well for Luka. Until we hear more, I don't like it. I subscribe to what Skalabrine said on NBA Radio last week about Durant: "Go ahead and rehab for 21 hours of the day, but for the other 3, support your teammates". To KD''s credit, he was on the bench for the next game.rapsuperstar31 wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2026 9:18 am
We don't know where he's rehabbing, maybe in Europe like Luka did to try and speed up recovery, maybe in Atlanta or LA. The main thing for him is trying to return.
Re: Pups vs Nuggs game 6 GDT
Four early...2 by Ju and 2 by Naz. I posted in the GDT that only 2 of the 4 really bothered me...the weird one in the backcourt by Ju, and a sloppy one by Naz, 3 of the 7 were on crosscourt passes from Ju to TJ, both of which he could have caught even they were high and fast. They gave one turnover to each of them. But it was a remarkable turnaround from the 25 turnovers in Game 7. I think playing Mike for 26 minutes rather than 17 had a lot to do with our steadiness out there last night.

I'm not really a fire the coach type guy and I actually like David Adelman but yikes I didn't see much of anything in this series from a Denver team that theoretically upgraded their talent last off-season and then looked like the worse team in every way against the Wolves.
Game 6 (and game 4) Wolves players absolutely should get credit for stepping up and winning the game and these are all NBA players but still that should be embarrassing. The Wolves were running TSJ as the PG bringing up the ball etc and hardly any ball pressure on him. What was Denver doing? The Wolves basically played with Conley and 9 minutes of Bones Hyland (who I'm guessing was far from healthy) at PG and the Wolves won somewhat easily. That's bad.

I definitely think Finchy outcoached Alfred E in the series, but Adelman must have done a good job coaching a team to 54 wins despite so many injuries...only 50 the season before. But yeah, if he wasn't getting in Braun's grill telling him to put some ball pressure on TJ, shame on him.Monster wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2026 10:07 am I'm not really a fire the coach type guy and I actually like David Adelman but yikes I didn't see much of anything in this series from a Denver team that theoretically upgraded their talent last off-season and then looked like the worse team in every way against the Wolves.

Also shout out to Naz Reid I rip him a lot on here as you all know but outside of the 2 1st Q turnovers I thought he was fantastic.
The whole team played their role and found a way to win.

I was saying this to my buddy during the game. How was TSJ not getting pressed up the court. Like honestly crazy to me.FNG wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2026 10:28 amI definitely think Finchy outcoached Alfred E in the series, but Adelman must have done a good job coaching a team to 54 wins despite so many injuries...only 50 the season before. Tsj stepped up big time when they needed him.
Re: Pups vs Nuggs game 6 GDT
The injuries suck and certainly limit our chances going forward in these playoffs, but bigger picture, the Ant-less and DDV-less Wolves offers Tim Connelly a long look at the other guys under the crucible of playoff pressure and with bigger roles to fill. To your point, Jaden has validated his importance to the franchise going forward. Ayo did too, as we saw him scale up his game and become our #1 scorer in the games he played.Carlos Danger wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2026 8:56 am That's the Jaden McDaniels that everyone hoped he become. What a great game and I really admire how he stepped up this game (and series). Now he just needs to do that for the rest of the playoffs.
Great team win led by Jaden but a few other supporting cast members also stepped up i.e. TSJ, Conley and finally NAZ had a decent game when we really needed it.
While we may come crashing down to earth against the Spurs, I'm still interested in seeing how our guys perform against them and how that informs offseason decisions about the roster.
Re: Pups vs Nuggs game 6 GDT
I’ll be very curious next round to see Fox vs Jaden. Fox is one of the few guys that has had Jaden number during his career.
Re: Pups vs Nuggs game 6 GDT
There was one particular time that TJ dribbled alone for 15 seconds with Braun 5 feet off of him and no help behind him. I guess he was thinking that the cushion might allow him to keep TJ in front of him, but he blew right by him. And of course there was no resistance at the rim. Adelman's fault, or just bad defense by his players?kekgeek wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2026 10:33 amI was saying this to my buddy during the game. How was TSJ not getting pressed up the court.
