Okay, kek. You started the GDT for Game 6 against Denver. I need you to start the Game 4 GDT for Sunday!

Lol no they didn't.Wolvesfan21 wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2026 11:34 pm I think what killed us were two things. A decent effort on defense, but needed an excellent effort.
Then two, not enough ball movement on offense. Got to drive and kick with Wenby in the paint. Just keep driving and kicking to the open guy when Wemby closes down. We started killing them when we moved the ball, but then stopped doing it per usual.
There were so many possessions down the stretch with the ball moving and rotating, finding an open shooter only for the ball to rattle out.
To be honest they might need to be less judicious about hunting the exact right shot and just take good ones cause Wemby you just don't have the luxury

I remember Kareem at age 24, and I don't remember him having near the overall impact on the game like Wemby. Every team is going to be looking for a guy that can try to match up with him. Otherwise you have no shot.

I kind of agree...Wemby has the makings of a deserved multiple MVP at 22Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2026 11:38 pm I remember Kareem at age 24, and I don't remember him having near the overall impact on the game like Wemby. Brothers swallowed his whistle after Finch yelled at him. For whatever reason we dont get respect from refs. I dont think its a conspiracy. I think the refs find us whiny from the top down.

Still a pathway to win this series. Obviously we must win our remaining home games, and then hope our experience carries us in a game 7. I wouldn't bet on it, but it's not over yet.

So all this talk about Wemby and the future of the NBA, is Gobert the answer for him? Gobert played good by his standards and Wemby wasnt phased in the least. I think the only shot you have against the spurs is with speed and our injuries wont let us go that direction. I suspect this team will be looking at quite the overhaul if we can find another spark.

I would rather win Game 5 than Game 7...Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2026 11:49 pm Still a pathway to win this series. Obviously we must win our remaining home games, and then hope our experience carries us in a game 7. I wouldn't bet on it, but it's not over yet.

Fun but frustrating game last night...felt like we were 3-6 points behind the entire second half. A few thoughts:
-opposing fans hate Jaden and Castle...I like them both(despite the Castle flopping). Two tough guys who won't back down from anything.
- the backwards dunk by Wemby is such an intimidating way to start a game...screams "I'm way taller then you and can do that...what are you going to do?"
-as others said, the silver lining tonight was the growth of TJ. His +19 was 16 points better than the only other positive player (Naz) despite only making 2 buckets. Quick decisions, only 1 turnover despite having the ball in his hands so much, and surprising defense. Ant (and our overall offense) is/are so much better when Ant plays off ball. Knee jerk reaction: with Donte likely out to start next season, TJ starts next to Ant.
-Ju and Ant were a combined 8 for 34 (23.5%). Wemby lives rent free in both of their heads
- Terrible box score for Ju, but in his defense he was excellent in driving and kicking to the open man. But what...6 or 7 missed wide open looks?
-Ant with 14 rebounds...had no idea that was happening during the game!
- Gutsy comeback after falling behind 15 so early on the heels of Wednesday's blowout...still feels like Spurs in 5 to me.

You got to drive and kick then hit your 3P's and you can beat them. He's too good coming in from the weakside to block and alter shots obviously that paint scoring will always be tough (as long as he's healthy).thedoper wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2026 11:53 pm So all this talk about Wemby and the future of the NBA, is Gobert the answer for him? His health will always be an issue though I believe. If you look at 7-2+ type of NBA players of the past, they've all dealt with injuries to some extent and it seems much more common for them to miss games versus guards for instance. I just think the nature of their long limbs and falling from more height, banging down low for boards, they just seem to deal with things more often and take longer to recover.
So I guess the bottom line, if healthy you need to simply hit those 3P shots and you have a chance. I think now we're cooked though, 3 outta 4 will be a tall task. Maybe next year.
