First Domino to fall, JIngles going home
Re: First Domino to fall, JIngles going home
Good for Joe!
Although, I thought it was a foregone conclusion he would not be back with the Wolves next year. I think there is a good chance Mike will take over Joe's role as "wise old sage" on the bench.

Sounds like he just wants to play, and was sick of sitting on the bench.

"I knew, deep down, I had that itch to play," Ingles told ESPN. "We would play pick-up every game day, and I would be competing, I would play really well, I felt really good. I obviously just wasn't getting the minutes with the team we had in Minnesota."rapsuperstar31 wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2026 9:10 am Sounds like he just wants to play, and was sick of sitting on the bench.
And I'm thinking being treated like the JV team manager from the home crowd whenever he got in a game for a few seconds... probably bothered him a bit.
He doesn't move well and is no longer a guy who can defend in the NBA... but he'll walk in and average 10/5/5 with ease in limited minutes while being able to be grounded with his family and friends.

I'll really miss Joe being the first guy off the bench to congratulate his teammates all season. If he was unhappy, he sure didn't look like it...what a guy!

I'm happy for him and glad he was here but if he wasn't gonna player or wasn't able to then I'm happy he is moving on. They are gonna need to have some open roster spots to fill
