The exact target I was thinking the Wolves should go after in Mobley.
Mobley<Allen
I don't really watch enough Cleveland, but Mobley is 4 years younger, two time first team all defensive team, defensive player of the year last year, and can stretch the floor. I have heard he is a bit soft, so I'm not sure if he would just be another Chet though against Wemby. Now Allen's contract is easier to digests, Mobley is probably overpaid.
Yeah, not sure why they'd want to get rid of Mobley, as he is one of the guys they should build around.
I didn't watch them much in the regular season, but I caught most of their series against the Knicks. The contrast in perimeter ball pressure couldn't have been more stark in watching that series as compared to OKC vs. Spurs. I mean, Dean Wade was their perimeter "stopper", LOL. Dean Wade! A Wade/Harden/Mitchell trio on the perimeter just has too many holes in it defensively. Allen and Mobley are a solid defensive back line, but they can't possibly plug all the leaks on the perimeter.

If OKC doesn't win this game I think the answer to where Giannis is going is over. No one can come close to offering what they can.
They have to pay Chet soon. They won't be able to keep all of J-dub, Chet, Shai and Giannis. Why could they not win next season? They lost close in a 7 game series. Everyone is too short minded. HAVE to win each and every season or else make changes. Sometimes the move is let other teams make moves, sit idle and your team goes back to the top.
It's simple, they can't beat the Spurs anymore as currently constructed. The Spurs are only going to get better and Wemby is going to become an even bigger problem. They will have to trade JDub in the deal and give up a shitload of picks to get Giannis. But it doesn't matter, they have so many assets they would basically be getting Giannis without denting their stockpile. I'd be shocked if Giannis isn't in OKC next year.
It’s testament to how well run the Thunder organization is that they have the assets to get Giannis, still in his prime, without making a dent in their core, after winning the NBA championship last year and then taking the Spurs to seven games in the West finals this year without their second best player in the last game. The Spurs have done a great job building their current team as well, but they had the luck again of having the top pick in a draft year that had a rare generational player. I’m amazed at the luck of that franchise - getting the top pick in the Robinson, Duncan and Wemby drafts.
Ya never know what TC might pull out of his hat, but Jake Fischer reported that the Wolves, along with a few other teams, are out of the Giannis bidding. The Wolves are not willing to gut their roster plus they are hamstrung on draft capital.

I'd guess they have zero interest in giving up McDaniels and that's the guy the Bucks would want.

I hope that's the case. The duo would be fun, but it just doesn't make sense roster wise and trading Jaden would is a big risk. I hope they jump in as a 3rd, 4th or 5th team in a Giannis trade though. Good chance to get some legit value while shipping Randle out somewhere.
I honestly don't know where the hell he is going to end up at this point. As people above said Minnesota and Boston aren't trying to work on a deal. Recently came out that OKC has no interest, and now there are reports that Giannis is concerned about playing for the Heat if they have to gut the roster for him
I would LOVE to have Giannis on the Wolves! But I see no realistic way to get him that would result in a significant net improvement in the team because of what we’d have to give up to get him. Having two stars is a great formula for winning NBA championships but it’s not enough. I can’t imaging us getting Giannis without giving up both Jaden and Naz. I’d feel differently about our chances if we had all the draft assets we traded away for Rudy, but we don’t.
I also wonder whether Giannis and Ant are an ideal fit together given that they are both so ball dominant. I think it would work, but I’m not sure. I think the idea fit next to Ant is a defensive PG who can both score and distribute. The player doesn’t have to get a star but needs to be good with a skill set that complements Ant’s skill set. Jrue Holiday in his prime would be perfect. Jrue Holiday at age 35 might be a good acquisition. I’d trade Randle straight up for Jrue. Cool has mentioned Jalen Suggs who I think would be a great acquisition but I have no idea how much we’d have to give up to get him.

I'm the exact opposite. I think we need a dynamic scorer next to Ant for the main reason of beating those elite defenses like OKC and SA. Suggs and Holiday don't move the needle against those defenses much, heck I'd gamble that Clark ups his game and becomes 9/10's of those guys. Probably never have the handle or skill, he's too far behind the eight ball at his age, but he could become a good 3P shooter and stay as an elite defender.
I really think we need another dynamic scorer next to Ant. Could be a Kawhi or Giannis too. I think Kyrie makes the most sense as we struggle too much with ball handling and he's the best, but still, another scorer just makes us really a threat to those elite defenses we have yet to be.

Maybe he will say MN or nothing and we don't have to give up a ton to get him. That would be nice. The other thing he can do is simply threaten to play out his deal and the Bucks get nothing.
