Sorry guys was out in boundray waters for a couple days. Huascar Ynoa has a good arm throws in mid 90's it's hard to project a 19 year old. If he ever does reach the bigs my guess is it will be as a reliever and that's maybe 4-5 years down the road.
I've seen he was our 22nd rank prospect. This has a lot of the same signs as us trading for Kevin Jepsen for Chih-Wei Hu who was our #20 prospect back then. Chih-Wei Hu Has a made a spot start or two but at the end of the day is 4A pitcher and we at least got one solid half year out of Jepsen.
We got a reliable guy to eat up innings, they got a guy with a good fastball they hope they can develop. All in all good trade for both teams.
Jester - Thank you! Please give us a heads up in the future when you will be offline. JK
So what are your thoughts on relievers? Would you rather have a guy that specializes in it from the start at a young age or a guy like Dennis Eckersley, Rick Aguilera, or Glen Perkins that converted starters.

I don't think it matters that much. I remember talking to Matt Thornton at a game once. If you remember him he was left he threw in the high 90's for the white sox in the pen for a long time. He said when he was Double/Triple A his coach Told him that your going to be okay starter and maybe be 4th-5th starter In the bigs. He said he threw about 94 then. But his coach said you could have a 15 year career as a left hand specialist. He said he didn't listen and kept his role and when he made the bigs he made 1 start and was the long reliever and said when he got there he realized that his coach was right. He said I had a great breaking and only throwing one inning I could throw 98 as a left handeer and said it was a no brainer to move to the bullpen. I think your seeing this same progression with Duffey right now.
