Hollinger also loved him some Josh Minott, so maybe he has a thing for guys with thin framesPhenom wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 7:47 pmHollinger has a good track record so there's that.rapsuperstar31 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 7:43 pm I would have gone Thomas, oh well.
[Krawczynski] Our @johnhollinger gives the Wolves an A for taking Isaiah Evans: "I love this pick for MN. Evans can really shoot and showed strong improvement in his SO season. Teams overthought things on his thin frame. He is by far the best prospect available."

Evans minutes doubled from Fr to Soph and his overall shooting did not dip. His 3% did, but yeah. Microwave scorer to replace slightly more expensive veteran minimum to ride the bench and get random usage.

Braden Smith traded to Indiana. Is TJ McConnell available?!?

Can't have enough shooting, I'm happy with the pick, especially since it wasn't a first rounder.
Re: Draft Night Thread - Second Round
I predict the Wolves will trade Evans before signing him.
Re: Draft Night Thread - Second Round
I’d feel better if Evans was a 40+% 3-point shooter in college. But his 36% is a bit underwhelming. And I just read a draft analysis that said Evans needs to work on his shooting mechanics.Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 8:02 pm Can't have enough shooting, I'm happy with the pick, especially since it wasn't a first rounder.

I'm not much of a soccer fan, but the world cup has given me something to watch since the NHL and NBA playoffs ended. Anyway, if you appreciate great announcing, this gentleman named Derek Rae calling the Mexico game right now is a treat to listen to.
