He's a 2nd rounder for a reason, yet he was rated 25th overall when I looked him up. He has a good improvement arc going on, we could have done worse.Lipoli390 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 8:05 pmI’d feel better if Evans was a 40+% 3-point shooter in college. But his 36% is a bit underwhelming. And I just read a draft analysis that said Evans needs to work on his shooting mechanics.Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 8:02 pm Can't have enough shooting, I'm happy with the pick, especially since it wasn't a first rounder.

Pistons are trading Isaiah Stewart to the Grizzlies for multiple future 2nd round picks.
Re: Draft Night Thread - Second Round
I wonder who the Pistons are maneuvering to acquire.

That's surprising cause my spark notes research suggest he was one of the best shooters in the class period. Multiple draft analyst are in love with the pick with the thought that he can help right away due to his shootingLipoli390 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 8:05 pmI’d feel better if Evans was a 40+% 3-point shooter in college. By the way, Ischenko is still available!! Does anyone remember the Russian Rubio, Alexey Shved? Look out Shved, when pick #59 rolls around, your legacy will be eclipsed by a PG named Vsevolod Ischenko.

I hope those draft analysts turn out to be right. But it’s hard to dismiss that 36% number. And it’s disturbing that there’s at least one draft analyst who thinks Evans has flawed shooting mechanics.AussieWolf3 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 8:15 pmThat's surprising cause my spark notes research suggest he was one of the best shooters in the class period. Re: Draft Night Thread - Second Round
Is it true that Isaiah Evans spent 4 million on his draft night fit? I sure hope not.
